President Donald Trump has proven that he’s more than willing to speak with reporters and also call them out.
The president was speaking with the press in the Oval Office on Tuesday when NewsNation White House Correspondent Libbey Dean asked him some questions about Iran. He was answering the question when he snapped at Dean for interrupting him, calling her a “fresh person.”

“Does Iran have to make a deal for the U.S. to end its operation in Iran? And have you spoken directly-” she asked as the president began to respond.
“No, Iran doesn’t have to make a deal, no,” he said. “I’ve spoken to a lot of people. It’s a new regime. They are much more accessible. They are right. You know, they said, ‘We have a present for you, Mr. President, out of respect.’ And they said-”
At this point, Dean, likely thinking that the end of the sentence meant that he had finished his response, began to speak. Trump didn’t like that.
“Wait a minute. Do you want me to answer the question? You’re a fresh person. You know? We’ve had a lot of problems with you, haven’t we?” he asked, before returning to the topic of discussion. “Uh, no, they don’t. You asked me a question. No, they don’t have to make a deal with me. When we feel that they are for a long period of time, put into the Stone Ages [sic], and they won’t be able to come up with a nuclear weapon, then we’ll leave, whether we have a deal or not. It’s irrelevant.”
This response comes after a Monday morning Truth Social post that demanded a deal with Iran and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not…

“The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately ‘Open for Business,’ we will conclude our lovely ‘stay’ in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet ‘touched.’ This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year ‘Reign of Terror.’ Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he wrote.
