Trump shares Melania’s heart wrenching reaction while she watched attempted assassination

Former President Trump shared with Fox News host Laura Ingraham how watching his attempted assassination deeply affected his wife Melania and how she is unable to speak about it.

As the bullet barely missed the former president, Melania watched in horror as the assassination attempt played out.

Ingraham asked Trump if the former first lady was watching from home live when she saw the incident.

“She was watching,” he responded. “She was watching live. It was all over the place. It was on television.”

Trump recounted how Melania can’t speak with him about the attempted assassination as it was just too upsetting.

“She can’t even really talk about it. That’s okay, that means she likes me — she loves me. She could talk about it freely, I’m not so sure which is better. She either likes or loves me, that’s nice,” he joked with Ingraham.

When Melania saw the near miss she evidently believed “the worst had happened.” She was shocked to her core. That belief was reportedly triggered by the way the Secret Service took her husband down after the shot.

When her husband received the Republican nomination after the attempt on his life, Melania was noticeably emotional as he spoke of the event.

Despite what happened that day, the former president still respects the Secret Service agents that were assigned to him.

“I just want to say one thing about the Secret Service… they were very brave. They were coming. Bullets were flying over me. I went down and they were — they were on top of me, I had a lot of very big, strong people on top of me,” he commented.

Despite defending the agents, Trump is very aware of what went wrong that day and how close he came to having his head blown off.

“Should’ve been somebody on the roof, should’ve been communication with the local police and we’re seeing this guy, who was a very disturbed person… how about the Trump fans who were screaming about him?” he asked.

Trump commented that the Secret Service counter-sniper who neutralized Crooks did his job “but it should’ve happened nine seconds earlier.”

The former president is set to speak to the FBI and give them a “victim statement” on Thursday.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has since resigned after the utter failure to protect Trump which many find very suspicious.

“A group chat of those meant to protect Trump were aware that gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was in their midst over 90 minutes before Trump was shot at, rather than an hour as the FBI had previously claimed,” the Daily Mail reported.

“When one of the three countersnipers was about to call off at the end of their shift at around 4:26 pm, they noticed a man who they later confirmed to be Crooks sitting on a picnic table,” the outlet continued.

There were warning signs everywhere that were missed by the Secret Service and local police.

“It emerged the gunman’s father called police on the day of the shooting because Crooks didn’t return from what he thought was a routine Saturday trip to the local gun range,” the Daily Mail wrote.

“And it was revealed Crooks was at the former president’s rally three hours before opening fire, even sparking the suspicions of the Secret Service during that time because he was carrying a rangefinder used by hunters to take long shots. But he was never stopped or questioned,” the media outlet stated.

The Daily Mail added:

He later climbed onto the roof of the building he was lurking near, shot Trump and killed retired volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore.

Crooks had told his boss he needed the day off from work Saturday and gave colleagues a final chilling message: That he would be back on Sunday.

The gunman searched online ‘how far’ Lee Harvey Oswald was from John F. Kennedy when he shot him, FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed in stunning testimony to Congress earlier this week.

FBI Director Christopher Wray also told lawmakers the 20-year-old gunman flew a drone 200 yards from the stage just two hours before he opened fire in Butler, Pennsylvania, and had three explosives in his car.

Shockingly, agents on the ground were reportedly warned between two and five times that there was a “suspicious person” reported before Trump ever took the stage. Crooks was seen by officers inside the building that he utilized to shoot at Trump. He was also spotted with a rangefinder.

There are so many out-points concerning the incident that a bipartisan task force has been formed to investigate it. A second one is being considered by Republican leaders as well.
