President Donald Trump singled out late-night television host Seth Meyers in a social media post, calling him the “WORST” performer.
The president targeted the host of “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Truth Social, calling out the NBC host for his criticism, which he suggested could even be “illegal.”
“Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television. In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise,” Trump wrote.
“I watched his show the other night for the first time in years,” Trump continued.
“In it, he talked endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers, which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults. On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic,” Trump wrote, likely referring to Meyers’ mockery of his highly successful trip to Asia last week.

During his “A Closer Look” segment on the late-night show, Meyers claimed Asia was giving Trump “the royal treatment he so desperately craves,” before mocking his remarks on the catapult systems on a new fleet of ships.
“Guy spends more time thinking about catapults than Wile E. Coyote,” Meyers said.
The president concluded his Truth Social post with a jab at NBC for keeping Meyers on the air. The former “Saturday Night Live” star has been hosting “Late Night with Seth Meyers” for over a decade.
“Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!” his post concluded.
Trump posted about rumors on a contract earlier this summer. However, last year, NBC reportedly extended Meyers’ contract through 2028.
“There is a sick rumor going around that Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers,” the president wrote. “He has no Ratings, Talent, or Intelligence, and the Personality of an insecure child. So, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope’s contract? I don’t know, but I’ll definitely be finding out!!!”
