Trump to visit Pennsylvania McDonald’s to work: ‘I wanna see how it is’

Former President Donald Trump has never hidden his love for McDonald’s, but on Sunday his view of the restaurant will be from behind the counter.

Trump loves chowing down on two McDonald’s classics, Big Macs and Fillet-O-Fish, but on Sunday he will walk out of a Philadelphia branch store with more than an order – he’ll have a work history. Sources familiar with the matter say that the former president will have a crack at working “the fry cooker” during a campaign stop, which he had alluded to doing during another stop the previous month.

“I think I’m going to go to a McDonald’s next week someplace –  it might not be here in your place,” he said to a gathered crowd. “I’m going to go to a McDonald’s and I’m going to work the French fry job for about half an hour – I wanna see how it is.”

On October 10, Trump excitedly shared with the crowd at his Reno rally that he had plans to work at the fast-food joint.

“Do you know what I am doing next week? I am going to a McDonald’s to work!” he exclaimed.

It has also been said that this brief stint will officially make him an employee of the business for longer than Vice President Kamala Harris, who has claimed she once worked at a McDonald’s.  Trump has jabbed at the story several times on the campaign trail.

During an interview last month with Stephanie Ruhle of MSNBC, Harris once again addressed her alleged burger-slinging past.

“I just want to ask you, yes or no,” the host asked. “At any point in your life have you served two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions…”

“I have. It was not a small job, I did the fries,” the vice president responded. “Part of the reason I even talk about having worked at McDonald’s is because there are people who work at McDonald’s in our country who are trying to raise a family. I worked there as a student.”
