Trump touts ‘4 More Years’ swag that ‘drives radical left lunatics crazy’

President Donald Trump received chants of “four more years” during a rally this Friday in Rockland County, New York.

Buoyed by the crowd, the president touted the “Four More Years” hat he sells, which he said, “drives the radical left lunatics crazy.”

All this happened as the president spoke about how he’s a three-term president, counting the 2020 presidential election.

Listen:

“I cut tremendous amounts of taxes in my first term,” he began. “We had the greatest, most successful economy in history. And, by the way, we’re blowing it away in this term. So, today, we just, an amazing thing happened. They said it couldn’t happen for four years. An amazing thing. The Dow Jones hit 50,702! And the S&P is way over 7,000.”

“So these were two things they said he won’t be able to do. When I first got elected, they said he won’t be able to do that. There is no way he’s going to be able to do that in his first term. Which is, my first term of numerous terms,” he added.

It’s at this point that he trotted out the three-term theory.

“By the way, you know we’re a three-term president,” he said. “We just don’t want the results. We don’t want — we won three times, but we only want the results of the first and the third.”

Then the crowd started chanting “four more years,” much to Trump’s delight, prompting him to mock the left for their hate of his “four more years” hat.

“But we did all of the different things, and we’ve saved you from $10,000 to $40,000 a year, the people in Rockland,” the president continued. “Over a million New Yorkers claimed the deduction this year. You’re able to write off nearly $22,000 on average putting thousands of dollars back in your pockets, and these are all Republican tax cuts. The Democrats voted against every one of these tax cuts. Every one.”

“They voted, as an example, in favor of open borders. They voted against the border. They voted against the wall. They voted against the sanity of when we talk about men playing in women’s sports. I tell you how ridiculous it is,” he added.

The president’s visit to Rockland County was designed to boost incumbent Rep. Mike Lawler’s chances  in what The Post-Standard describes as “one of the nation’s most competitive congressional districts.”

The White House said before the visit that the president would emphasize Lawler’s work lifting the SALT cap.

“This Friday, President Trump will visit the great State of New York to highlight his strong record of making life more affordable for working families,” White House spokesperson Liz Huston said in a statement to The Hill.

“The President will also draw a sharp contrast with Democrats in Congress, who unanimously voted against the Working Families Tax Cuts, which included lifting the SALT cap, eliminating taxes on Social Security, overtime, and tips, and enhancing the Child Tax Credit,” she added.
