Trump v. Rove: POTUS lashes out at ‘stone cold loser’ over report he’s going to vote for Dem

President Donald J. Trump had strong words for Karl Rove after the longtime Republican strategist said that he would be crossing party lines in the upcoming midterms.

The former Bush administration official and Fox News contributor found himself a target of the president’s ire after it was reported that he told a crowd that he planned on voting for Democrat Jon Rosenthal over “bigot” Bo French for Texas Railroad Commissioner.

French found himself at the center of controversy over a weekend social media post opining about the composition of the crowd at Saturday’s nationally televised Texas-Ohio State college football game.

“I heard UT graduation this year looked like this,” the candidate wrote along with a picture of non-white UT student fans at the game. “I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.”

According to a Texas Tribune report, Rove reacted by saying he would vote for the Democrat during a members-only Headliners Club lunch in Austin, citing the now-standard anonymous sources in “three attendees to whom The Texas Tribune has granted anonymity to discuss the conversation.”

“Rove said he has only ever voted for one Democratic candidate, Texas Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock, who was up for reelection in 1994,” the outlet reported.

Trump wasn’t pleased with the lack of party loyalty and let “Turd Blossom” have it in a smoking-hot Monday post to Truth Social.

“Karl Rove is so bad for the Republican Party, and completely wrong so often,” the president wrote.

“He suffers from a major case of Trump Derangement Syndrome primarily because, for almost 10 years, I beat back and won against so many of the people and things that he wanted and espoused. Why does FoxNews and the WSJ keep his RINO Voice alive. The guy is a stone cold loser!” Trump declared.

Rove isn’t the only RINO who assailed French.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), who had his lifelong ticket on the gravy train revoked when Trump endorsed his primary opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, also suggested that French is a racist.

“This is the Republican nominee for statewide office. Are other Republican elected officials going to condemn the intolerance and racism, or look the other way while it becomes normalized. This is how great political parties self-destruct. Sad,” the outgoing senator wrote on X.

Trump has also previously branded Rove as a “loser” over his remarks.

“I don’t need to have Karl Rove of FoxNews to tell me what to do. The guy’s a total Loser who’s been wrong about almost everything!” Trump wrote on Truth Social last year.
