Former President Donald Trump tore into Vice President Kamala Harris’ “anti-police” policies during a campaign speech Tuesday in Michigan.
Speaking at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, he accused the vice president turned presidential candidate of waging an “anti-police crusade” and supporting “extremist, pro-crime, anti-police” policies such as “defund the police.”
“We will never even think about defunding the police,” he said. “The concept is so chilling and so horrible. We’ll refund the police.”
He continued by slamming President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris for the low arrest rates under their administration, noting that this administration “goes after guys like me but they don’t go after people that kill people.”
He also blamed Harris in particular for the crime spike that’s occurred since he left office.
“Since comrade Kamala took office, her own administration’s crime statistics show she has presided over a 43% increase in violent crime, including a 58% increase in rape, 89% increase in aggravated assault, and a 56% increase in robbery,” he said.

Major cities are “almost all run by Democrats,” he continued.
“You can’t walk across the street to get a loaf of bread,” he said. “You get shot. You get mugged. You get raped. You get whatever it may be. Kamala Harris will deliver crime, chaos, destruction and death. I will deliver law, order, safety, and peace. And I will protect those who protect us.”
Speaking of which, he vowed to give the police “reinforcements” if elected to office in November.
“Under my leadership, we will make a record investment in hiring, retention, and training for police officers,” he said.
Prior to Trump’s speech Tuesday in Michigan, his campaign said he also intends to call for the death penalty for child rapists, reinstitute “stop-and-frisk” policing, and pursue felonies against doctors who perform transgender surgery on kids without their parent’s permission.
During the speech, Trump also vowed to close the southern border and “get all of the bad ones out.”
“We’re going to get it done fast,” he said.
It was great to join President Trump and Michigan Law enforcement today right where I grew up in Livingston County.

Prior to his remarks, he told the New York Post that Harris’ “terrible job” as the border czar makes her chances of winning election that much harder.
“She was in charge of the border and it was the worst and weakest border in history,” he said. “The job she did is a disgrace. She should be the underdog because she did such a bad job.”
He reiterated this during his actual speech.
“She’s the vice president and she wants to be the president of the United States. She’s vice president. She could do it. She’s in charge of the border. She could’ve closed up the border, she should have closed it up. They could’ve told Mexico if you don’t do it we’re not going to have trade,” he said.
Speaking with the Post, Trump also slammed all the “lies” being told at the Democrat National Convention.
“I think it was about lies,” he said. “It was lies about me. All night long they were saying things that weren’t true. Charlottesville has been disproven. Everything that they’ve said has been disproven.”
“The French soldier thing that they do all the time has been disproven, in the French cemetery. Democrats are good at lying. Every single thing that they talked about. The immigration. How about inflation? We had no inflation and they had a lot and they said the reverse,” he added.

At one point during Trump’s Tuesday speech, he described Harris as the “most radical” presidential candidate ever.
“Harris] is, as you know, the most radical left person ever even thought of for a high office, certainly for the office of president,” he said. “People don’t know the real Kamala, but I do, and people that do what I do, they also know. She’s so far left that nobody can imagine.”
