Trump wins again! Judge reduces ridiculous $454M bond, extends deadline

The New York Supreme Court set haters’ heads on fire when they handed the former president a new deadline with a nine-figure reduction as his bond came due.

As former President Donald Trump appeared at a New York City court to begin the hearing for his alleged criminal hush money trial, a decision on his appeal of Judge Arthur Engoron’s bond exceeding $464 million brought with it a reduction by more than half.

Establishing a new deadline 10 days from the order, the president was now ordered to post only $175 million for his civil fraud case while also staying enforcement of orders that would have kept Trump from applying for loans in New York, his sons from doing business in New York and co-defendants Allen Weisselberg and Jeffrey McConney “from serving in the financial control on any New York corporation or similar business entity…”

During a recess Monday morning, Trump addressed the press and said, “Judge Engoron has done a terrible disservice to the state of New York.”

“What he’s done is terrible; businesses are fleeing,” he continued as he directed the media to a new statement on social media. “Businesses are fleeing and crime is flourishing all over the state and what he’s done is such a disservice and should never be allowed to happen again. New York state is being battered by his decision.”

His remarks were in line with his post on Truth Social that read, “Judge Engoron has refused to obey the decision of the Appellate Division relative to the Statute of Limitations. This is a confrontation between a Judge and those that rule above him — A very bad situation in which to place New York State and the Rule of Law! Engoron has disrespected the Appellate Division and its very clear and precise ruling. He should be made to do so, and at the same time, release the GAG ORDER. This is the 5th time in this case that he has been overturned, a record.”

“His credibility, and that of [New York Attorney General] Letitia James, has been shattered,” he continued. “We will abide by the decision of the Appellate Division, and post either a bond, equivalent securities, or cash. This also shows how ridiculous and outrageous Engoron’s original decision was at $450 Million. I DID NOTHING WRONG, AND NEW YORK SHOULD NEVER BE PUT IN A POSITION LIKE THIS AGAIN. BUSINESSES ARE FLEEING, VIOLENT CRIME IS FLOURISHING, AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THIS BE RESOLVED IN ITS TOTALITY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU!”

While James had reportedly set her sights at seizing Trump’s assets after his attorneys had moved to stay execution of the judgement, the new decision halted further action on her part during the ongoing appeal process, dubbed a “Defeat for racist, attorney, general, Leticia, James!” by supporter Leo Terrell.

At the same time, members of the “walls are closing in” chorus fumed with disgust over the decision, including former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele who wrote on social media, “Yet again, [Trump] get special treatment with his own private system of justice. The NY Appeals Court has decided to give Trump more time to pay less money by reducing his bond from $454M to $175[M] and giving him 10 days to get the money. This makes absolutely no sense.”

Social media spectators reveled in the suspected seething after the more than “250 Million Slap In the Face to James and the judge.”
