Trump’s post scolding Pam Bondi reportedly meant to be private DM, surprised the president

President Trump stunned his base last month over a Truth Social post that took U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to task.

The post from Trump’s account blasted Bondi for all talk, no action, and demanded that “JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!” Trump specifically named Adam Schiff, James Comey, and Letitia James in his screed.

The post generated excitement among the “MAGA” supporters who’ve been longing for accountability after Trump had been politically persecuted for years.

But now it’s being reported that Trump’s rant to Bondi was never meant to be public, according to the Wall Street Journal, which might explain Trump’s subsequent post, and somewhat confusing (at the time) message that praised Bondi for doing a “GREAT job.”

Trump was reportedly surprised to learn that his original message, which was addressed to “Pam,” went public. The post upset Bondi and prompted Trump’s follow-up post in her defense, according to the WSJ.

The harsh public post may have been a catalyst in the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, who was charged on two federal counts less than a week later. Comey pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, and his attorneys are seeking to dismiss the case.

Meanwhile, things are heating up on Capitol Hill, and Bondi appears to be playing offense, at least for now.
