Tucker Carlson sat down with comedian Roseanne Barr on her podcast and was asked about Donald Trump saying he would consider him as a running mate if the former president is the Republican nominee.
“Oh gosh,” Carlson said with a laugh. “I put that in the category of asteroid striking the Earth. Good or bad, it’s so far outside of my control that I… you know.”
“I’m flattered,” he said, before adding, “I’ve never been in politics.”
Barr asked her guest if he would accept an offer to join Trump on a 2024 presidential ticket.
“Would I accept? I guess I would have to think about that,” he said. “I mean, I have spent my whole life looking at politicians and commenting on them and passing judgment on them, and I’ve never run for, you know, room mother. And so the idea of that is so far from anything I’ve ever done, it’s kind of hard even to imagine.”

Well Tucker, asteroids have supposedly hit the earth before. I also love his answer when he responded to if he’d accept if… pic.twitter.com/Gbm0hZfRdT

Carlson has been critical of Trump in the past, but he explained to Barr the precise moment he became a Trump supporter.
“I’ve always agreed with Trump’s policies. Always, And I’ve lost friends over it,” Carlson said. “I became an active Trump supporter when they raided Mar-a-Lago last summer…That can’t stand.”
“I certainly support Trump, I’ll tell you that. And I can tell you, I mean, I’ve always agreed with Trump’s policies. Always. And I lost friends over it.” pic.twitter.com/xXQFTUz6EK

“I agree with Trump on a lot but even if I disagreed with Trump on a lot I’d still be a Trump supporter because you cannot allow that,” he continued. “You cannot allow the regime, the President of the United States to use the Justice Department to knock the front runner out of the race. You can’t do that.”
He then offered a big-picture view of what is at stake here.
“It’s bigger than Trump. It’s bigger than Biden. It’s a question of, do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system,” Carlson said. “And so I’m voting for Trump. And if they convict him, I will send him the max donations, and I will lead protests. That’s how I feel.”
Barr chimed in to say that she feels the exact same way.
