Two thugs pistol-whip Oakland woman, violently drag her on the ground during robbery

Shocking video footage of crime in Democrat-run areas of the country continues to be a sore point for biased media outlets eager to assure residents that all is well.

The latest example of this suggests next-level violence — that it took place in Oakland, California, is not all that surprising.

The video captures two thugs violently attacking a young woman they were robbing. One of the men pistol-whipped the woman knocking her to the ground. He then grabbed the victim’s purse in an attempt to pull it away from her. It’s not clear if the woman was holding on to the purse or if the strap was simply caught on her arm. Either way, the man violently dragged her across what looked to be a gravel parking lot trying to free the purse.

KTVU crime reporter Henry K. Lee shared footage of the attack, which took place last week.

Seneca Scott, who identifies himself online as the founder of Neighbors Together Oakland, also shared the video along with the following message: “This weekend there were a total of 33 armed robberies reported in Oakland. Meanwhile — @MayorShengThao has run out of fake virtue to signal and has ghosted us, surrendering Oakland to lawlessness.”

A passerby reportedly spooked the crooks who then fled the scene, and the woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown.

As for crime in Oakland, the numbers tell the story — the irony here is that voters keep electing soft-on-crime Democrats:

Property crimes are reportedly approaching “unprecedented territory,” as seen below:

Things are so bad in the city the Oakland branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People blasted local leaders for their “failed leadership” in an open letter, blaming the movement to defund the police and George Soros-backed District Attorney Pamela Price for her unwillingness to charge and prosecute violent criminals.

(The first black female prosecutor to serve in Alameda County, Price ran on a platform to reform and transform the justice system yet voters now accuse her of being soft on crime. After just seven months in office she faces a recall effort, according to NBC Bay Area.)

“Oakland residents are sick and tired of our intolerable public safety crisis that overwhelmingly impacts minority communities. Murders, shootings, violent armed robberies, home invasions, car break-ins, sideshows, and highway shootouts have become a pervasive fixture of life in Oakland,” the NAACP letter said.

“People are moving out of Oakland in droves,” the organization added. “They are afraid to venture out of their homes to go to work, shop, or dine in Oakland and this is destroying economic activity. Businesses, small and large, struggle and close, tax revenues vanish, and we are creating the notorious doom-loop where life in our city continues to spiral downward.”
