TX rep issues challenge with ‘American Pride Month’ legislation: Will WH, businesses fly USA flag as proudly as LGBT flag?

A Republican congressman has proposed that the month of July should be designated as “American Pride Month” as a counter to June’s just-ended 30-day worship of sexual degeneracy as has been seen at numerous LGBTQ+ events where naked people paraded around in front of children, increasingly emboldened by corporate and political support for the sexualizing of the nation’s youth.

On Friday, Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) introduced a House resolution “to celebrate, memorialize, and increase awareness of the monumental achievements of the United States of America and the countless number of patriots throughout her history which have made this Nation the last best hope of earth.”

Earlier in the week, the military veteran lawmaker posted a stirring video to Twitter featuring America’s monuments and patriotic scenes along with an inspiring message from iconic Republican President Ronald Reagan on the importance of preserving American freedom.

“As President Reagan said in his farewell address to the nation, ‘If we forget what we did, we won’t know who we are.’ American Pride Month is about teaching our history to the next generation and passing on the values of what it means to be an American,” he told Fox News Digital.

“This resolution also serves as a challenge to this White House and woke corporations,” Hunt added. “Will they fly Old Glory as high and as proudly in July, as they did the LGBTQ flag in June?”

According to a press release from the congressman’s office, “In response to the Biden White House and the media celebrating “PRIDE” for an entire month, Texas Republican Congressman, Wesley Hunt is introducing a Resolution designating July, ‘American Pride Month.’ This Resolution provides all Americans with an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the great history and great progress of the United States of America.”

“If the Biden White House, woke corporations, and the media can spend an entire month celebrating ‘PRIDE,’ then we can dedicate the entire month of our nation’s birth to celebrate American Pride,” Hunt said. “My family and I served this nation in combat. American exceptionalism means something to me, and I want it to mean something again to future generations of Americans. American history is worth teaching, it’s worth celebrating, and it’s worth remembering. I’m urging my colleagues on both sides to enthusiastically support this Resolution.”

“America’s history is worth teaching, our story is worth remembering, and our progress is worth celebrating,” the Lone Star State Republican said. “One nation under God. One flag for the United States of America.”
