There’s more and more talk about UFOs or UAPs, which are unexplained aerial phenomena, being a real occurrence even if the media continues to be largely disinterested.
The House Oversight Committee scheduled a hearing Wednesday to “explore firsthand accounts of unidentified anomalous phenomena” and assess the U.S. government’s transparency and accountability regarding possible threats to U.S. national security.
UFO expert Nick Pope appeared on “Fox & Friends” ahead of the hearing and explained that questions have arisen about whether these strange sightings are linked to something extraterrestrial.
Fox News host Lawrence Jones opened the segment by noting that former intelligence official David Grusch has claimed that the U.S. military stumbled upon alien crash sites involving “non-human, exotic origin vehicles.”
Grusch, a decorated Air Force veteran, is one of three people set to testify at the hearing — the Defense Department has disputed his claim.
Pope noted that some of these findings could be our own secret technology or that of our adversaries, but that Grusch did reference nonhuman intelligence and say that bodies were recovered.
“I hope that we are going to hear today something that will enable Congress to validate those claims because, of course, if they’re true it changes everything,” Pope said.
At the same time, he acknowledges that something is out there.
“Something is going on in our airspace, and it’s not just UFO enthusiasts saying this,” Pope told the Fox News morning crew. “This is now coming from the government. They have declassified some U.S. Navy videos of these things. There have been two reports from the office of the Director of National Intelligence, some previous congressional hearings and more to come, and NASA doing a study.”
“And there’s no smoke without fire. There is a reality here,” he added. “But whether or not it’s an extraterrestrial reality, we don’t quite have that smoking gun yet. But I hope today is going to take us closer to it.”
An early clip from the hearings shows Grusch essentially confirming that aliens do indeed exist:

Here is the eyebrow-raising opening statement of another witness, retired Navy Commander David Fravor, former commanding officer of the Black Aces Squadron:
