United to appease TDS customers with free route changes to avoid Trump International Airport: report

United Airlines reportedly intends to appease customers who are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome over the renaming of an airport.

Earlier this month, officials in Florida renamed the Palm Beach International Airport to the President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The move caused instant outrage from the nutjob left.

According to NOTUS, leftists flooded United’s website with anti-Trump ramblings, much to the amusement of Trump supporters:

“I find ‘Donald J Trump’ getting his name placed on our structures in this country to be appalling and gross,” one lunatic wrote. “How do we continue to get on our knees for such a narcissistic criminal so-called president?”

A business owner who regularly uses the airport added that he “will gladly reroute our travelers to other airports around and within Florida.”

“Our business will not support your choice,” the businessman continued.

“I don’t care if your airport pulls an Oprah and gives everyone who flies out of or into Palm Beach a new car,” another leftist nut wrote. “I will NEVER fly out of your airport as long as it has that egomaniac’s name on the sign.”

The backlash evidently piqued United Airlines’ attention, because the airline decided to unnecessarily respond to it by offering these TDS victims an alternative option.

“United Airlines is giving reservation agents unusual flexibility to accommodate customers who no longer want to fly to West Palm Beach after the airport was renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport,” according to Live and Let’s Fly.

An internal memo reviewed by the site said that reservation agents may offer TDS customers the option to fly to Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) or Miami International Airport (MIA) instead.

The memo even included an example of what a reservation agent could say to a TDS customer: “I understand that you’d rather not fly to this airport anymore. We can look at nearby airports like Fort Lauderdale or Miami instead. Is that an acceptable alternative?”

The memo from United sparked another round of backlash, this one from conservatives annoyed by the airline’s decision to cater to TDS sufferers:

However, some clever conservatives responded to the news with glee on the basis that their future flights to President Donald J. Trump International Airport will be free of leftist nutjobs.

“Yay!!” a Trump supporter wrote on social media. “I will definitely fly to palm beach without unhinged people. Thank you United for allowing the sane people fly in peace.”

“Good – keep those democrats out of our clean, safe and sane areas,”  another wrote.

As for the airport, while its name has changed, its security procedures and daily operations reportedly remain the same.

“New exterior signs have already been installed, with additional interior signage and airport branding expected to be updated in phases over the coming weeks,” according to station WTVX.
