University-funded radio station’s DJ threatens to ‘kill JD Vance’ – Secret Service notified

The Secret Service said that the agency is aware of a volunteer radio DJ’s post on social media calling for the assassination of Vice President JD Vance, another alarming threat in an era of political violence against conservatives.

In the post to the left-wing echo chamber Bluesky, the individual who identified themself as a host for WUML, an FM station funded by the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, responded to another user who slammed what they seem to perceive as the vice president’s lack of deference to longtime European allies.

“JD VANCE THINKS BRITAIN & FRANCE ARE AMERICAS [sic] LIKELY ENEMIES,” the Bluesky user opined.

“It’s simple, we kill JD Vance,” wrote the user going by the handle of hanslopez.bsky.social.

Vice President Vance has angered leftists for calling out Europe’s leadership over the ongoing slide into censorship and tyranny, especially the shutting down of free speech, something that Democrats are also clamoring for.

It was a dangerous incitement to those who are increasingly driven to act out violently, egged on by a constant stream of incendiary rhetoric spewed by elected Democrats and their mouthpieces. Hatemongering that has riled up their crazed base, one of whom publicly murdered Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk Last year.

According to the station’s website, it has “given a voice to both the student body of UMass Lowell and the greater Lowell community” for over six decades.

“Founded in 1952, WUML functions as a non-commercial FM station located in Lowell, Massachusetts, funded by the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and fully managed and operated by student members, broadcasting both terrestrially and online,” WUML’s website states.

When the school learned about the threatening post, it notified the authorities.

“UMass Lowell police promptly coordinated with the FBI, Secret Service, and Haverhill police the same day to ensure an appropriate response,” the school said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Contact was made with the individual in question, and the necessary assessments were conducted in collaboration with federal partners. Authorities confirmed there was no immediate threat.”

The host has since resigned and removed the threatening post.

“UMass Lowell takes seriously any threat of violence involving our community. Statements such as the post in question are inconsistent with the values of our democracy and our university,” the school said. “The individual in question has since resigned from his volunteer role at WUML and removed the post from his Bluesky account.”

The Secret Service confirmed to Fox News Digital that it was aware of the threat.

X users shared their takes on the now-former DJ and his encouragement to kill Vance.

The threat to the vice president would seem to be just more proof that America’s colleges and universities serve as indoctrination mills for the radical left and its poisonous anti-Americanism, and the ex-host’s sentiment runs deep at UMass Lowell, and nearly every other so-called institution of higher learning in America.
