Vance schools The View divas on claims of black history censorship under Trump

After Vice President JD Vance appeared on “The View” this Tuesday, co-host Joy Behar revealed that she’s somewhat of a fan of his.

Appearing on the “Behind the Table” podcast after Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” Behar said she doesn’t think Vance is a “bad guy.” She added that she’d find it “interesting” to see him go up against California Gov. Gavin Newsom in the 2028 presidential election.

“Truthfully, as I said to you at the beginning of this conversation, I don’t think that he’s a bad guy,” she said. “So if he runs against, say, Gavin Newsom, that would be an interesting debate to see those two because they’re both intelligent.”

She even praised Vance for his “good vibes” and reportedly told him to his face during “The View” that he should run for president, though she couldn’t resist bashing him for claiming that his past criticisms of President Donald Trump were based on the media’s depictions of him.

“Don’t give me that,” she said. “That’s where I draw the line on the guy. Don’t blame me for the fact — you went to Yale law school, you can’t read between the lines? You can’t watch something and discern what’s going on? Come on.”

During Tuesday’s edition of “The View,” Vance at one point told the audience that Behar had told him off-air that he was “fine” for a Republican.

“Joy said when we were off air that I’m fine, which I think is about the best endorsement I’m gonna get out of Joy Behar,” he said.

“For a Republican,” Behar clarified.

“Graded on a curve here at ‘The View,'” Vance replied.

During Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” the leftist hosts also repeatedly falsely claimed that the Trump administration is erasing so-called “black history.”

“They’re taking down the actual history that happened in this country,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg alleged. “Slavery happened, all kinds of stuff happened, and it seems that it has been very easy for this administration to remove that and also to denigrate black folks who have worked their behinds off to get this American Dream.”

“Black history is getting erased from public spaces,” co-host Sunni Hostin added. “Black voter districts are being dismantled. Black leaders are being sidelined from our ranks. Where do Americans of color fit in this vision? Because it doesn’t seem like we fit.”

What’s actually happening is that incompetent/unneeded workers, some of whom are black, have been laid off by the federal government. Similarly, thanks to a recent Supreme Court ruling, voting districts purposefully designed to be based on race have rightly been outlawed.

As for “black history,” the administration is simply no longer teaching the DEI-rooted, black supremacist pseudo history pushed by the likes of charlatans like Nikole Hannah-Jones, the author of the debunked “1619 Project.”

Vance ignored most of their BS gripes and instead focused his attention on how the Trump administration’s crime-fighting policies have been helping everybody, especially black people.

“The United States of America has seen a radical decrease in violent crimes, sexual assaults, and in murders,” he said. “We have tried to take the crime issue seriously, in part because we believe everybody, whether you’re black or white or rich or poor, deserves to live in a safe neighborhood.”

But the hosts of “The View” weren’t listening.

“Black history has been erased from public spaces,” Hostin fired back.

“Black history is not erased from public spaces,” Vance replied.

“That is true!” Hostin pressed, doubling down on her original assertion.

“That is not right,” Vance said. “I’m telling you, we celebrate Black history, we celebrate all American history in this administration. You guys might be skeptical of this, but I promise you it’s true.”

Vance was correct.
