Virginia voters sue to boot Dem off ballot, and it could have ‘far-reaching implications’ on Election Day

Three Virginia voters have asked a judge to remove a state House Democrat nominee because she doesn’t live in the district where she’s registered to vote.

According to a court petition filed by three Stafford County voters, Virginia state House candidate Stacey Carroll lives in House District 23 but used an address in House District 64 to qualify for the race.

“[P]etitioners Stephen Edward Schwartz, Judith Anne Parker and Juliet McGee Schweiter allege Carroll changed her voter registration on Feb. 5, 2025, to an address on Pinkerton Court in District 64 but ‘continues to reside’ on Bismark Drive in District 23,” the Virginia Mercury reports.

“The filing lists the Bismark Drive house as a property Carroll has owned and occupied since 2018. It asks the court to hear the case on an expedited basis, cancel Carroll’s District 64 registration and direct state officials to decertify her candidacy and remove her from the ballot,” the reporting continues.

The filing also alleges that the District 64 home isn’t even owned by Carroll but by Jared Harmon and Crystal Harmon, both of whom still live there.

As for the other home, the filing alleges that “Carroll is physically present at 71 Bismark Drive on a consistent basis” and that her “primary vehicle, a white 2017 Cadillac Escalade, is consistently parked” there “for significant periods of the day and overnight.”

Carroll also allegedly “continues to receive mail” and “pays the electricity bill” there, while at the same time, “motor vehicles belonging to Carroll and her immediate family have not been observed” at the Pinkerton Court address.

Fox News notes that “[w]hile a seemingly local matter, the result of the case could have wide-ranging implications for the final tally on Election Day as all 100 House of Delegates seats are up for grabs.”

“And Democrats achieved the rare accomplishment of running candidates in all of them, including reliably Republican seats in far-flung rural regions like St. Charles, Big Stone Gap and Tazewell,” Fox News reporting continues.

In an email to the Virginia Mercury, Carroll pushed back hard on the allegations against her.

“The accusations about where I live are false and insulting to every veteran and military family who knows what it means to move in service to our country,” she wrote, adding that she’s “a proud resident of House District 64” and remains “committed to serving this community.”

“To suggest that military families don’t belong in the communities they serve dishonors that sacrifice,” she continued.

Carroll is supported by major left-wing powerhouses like Emily’s List:

Carroll, a National Guard non-commissioned officer with 19 years of service, announced her candidacy in May.

“I have spent my life dedicated to service—whether it was serving my country in the Army Reserves or National Guard, auditing the government’s financial statements to ensure accountability, or opening my home to foster children who needed a safe place,” she said at the time to the Fredericksburg Free Press.

“Now, I’m ready to serve my community in a new way—by fighting for policies that put working families first, improve our schools, and build the infrastructure we need for a stronger future,” she added.

Her campaign is backed by Virginia state House Dels. Karen Keys-Gamarra and Joshua Cole.

“Stacey has demonstrated her commitment to public service through her life pursuits,” Keys-Gamarra said. “I personally observed her diligent focus on caring for others as she supported high-risk youth in the foster care system. Her knowledge of family services and dedication to public service will serve her community well.”

“Stacey Carroll has a strong record of service, with 19 years in the National Guard and a clear dedication to the Stafford community,” Cole added. “I have no doubt that she will bring that same dedication, discipline, and compassion to the people of the 64th District. I’m proud to support her and excited to see the leadership she will bring to Richmond.”

She’s also backed by the disgraced Vindmans:
