Vogue Magazine is being roasted online over a feature article on Lauren Sanchez, who is engaged to mega-billionaire Jeff Bezos.
The “cringe” puff piece includes a photo shoot of the elite couple showcasing their fabulously toned bodies in a very blue-collar setting, which did not go over too well online.
The internet is roasting Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos for their new Vogue photoshoot, with some branding it was ‘cringe’ and ‘uncomfortable’ and others accusing the magazine of photoshopping the Amazon founder’s muscles in it.
Sanchez, 53, and Bezos, 59, are seen sitting in a pickup truck, with the Amazon founder sporting a black cowboy hat while showcasing his sizable biceps. Sanchez is rocking a wife-beater-style white tank top as she wraps around him like a cheap suit.
In a new exclusive interview, Lauren Sánchez discusses going to space, giving back, and her high-flying romance with Jeff Bezos. Read the full profile here: https://t.co/qXtkaXgN1C pic.twitter.com/rz2CPDCF27

Here’s a quick taste of the fare from Vogue:
“She’s a sparkler in Jeff’s life,” says Barry Diller, who with his wife, Diane von Furstenberg, are two of Bezos’s closest friends and will host a second engagement party for the couple at their home in Beverly Hills. “They’re very in love with each other—they’re demonstrably in love,” he adds. “She’s lit him up in the nicest ways. She’s a great stimulant.”
Clara Jeffery, editor-in-chief of Mother Jones, questioned whether the feature was “the cringey-est story/photo essay Vogue has ever done.”
“And…do they think they look good? It’s like uncanny valley,” she added.

Social media users were split in their repulsion, with some opting to target Vogue while others made it more personal in attacking the famous couple.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
This is so weird, it doesn’t feel like Vogue

This is just bad. How about a spread on MacKenzie Scott, the philanthropist. I am not interested in the mistress pretending to be a climate activist while galavanting around the world on his jet, yacht, and helicopters.
