Walmart yanks shirts from racks after extremely vulgar word is found hiding in plain sight

Walmart scrambled to yank a stealthily offensive pro-recycling T-shirt from its stores after customers spotted a hidden swear word in the logo on display.

The shirt featured the letters ‘RE’  displayed next to the words “cycle,” “use,” “new,” and “think” — the first letters of those four words inadvertently spell out a vulgar word that refers to a woman’s anatomy.

“I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they have done. Find the hidden word,” wrote a social media user, who shared a photo of the shirt.

The $5 shirt was made by the Walmart-owned George fashion label and was available in Canada only, according to Newsweek, with the outlet further reporting that Walmart pulled the shirt after becoming aware of the controversy.

“This was not intentional, and the T-shirt has been removed,” a Walmart spokesperson said.

Those who think highly of their fellow man wanted odds on whether the designers knew what they were doing or not:

Here’s a sampling of other responses to the story from Twitter, including a sarcastic response noting that the shirt can only be worn on Tuesdays:
