Not that he’s any stranger when it comes to making a complete fool of himself but the Washington Post’s Philip Bump took his clownishness to an entirely new level by trying to fact-check Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over the humiliation of his left-coast counterpart.
DeSantis totally demolished California Gov. Gavin Newsom in the Fox News debate on Thursday, showing that the Sacramento slickster may not be quite ready for prime time as a potential White House candidate whose name has frequently come up as a replacement if the Dems pull the plug on malfunctioning Joe Biden.
The Sunshine State Republican brutalized the completely overmatched Democrat with the coup de grâce coming when he confronted Newsom over the filth in the streets of San Francisco, specifically the abundance of human feces, a disgusting example of how far the Golden State has declined thanks to decades of one-party leftist rule, pulling out a screen print of the “poop tracker” app.

“This is a map of San Francisco,” DeSantis said, displaying a map with an preponderance of brown areas. “There’s a lot of plots on that. You may be asking what is that plotting? Well this is an app where they plot the human feces found on the streets of San Francisco and you see how almost the whole thing is covered because that is what has happened in one of the previous greatest cities this country has ever had.”
“Human feces is now a fact of life, except when a communist dictator comes to town,” he added, referring to the recent visit of Chinese President Xk Jinping who was given the royal welcome. Then they cleaned of the streets. They lined the streets with Chinese flags. They did not put American flags there. They cleaned everything up,” noting that San Franciscans can live in crap and squalor unless a communist dictator comes to town.
Bump however differed over how much feces is actually present on the streets of San Francisco to portray DeSantis as dishonest, like the good Democrat propagandist he is, replotting the image on the “poop map” shown by DeSantis in painstaking detail because there just isn’t anything more important to write about.

The WaPo “poop” wizard really stepped in it with X users who dumped all over him to the point where he first turned off the replies and then deleted his idiotic tweet altogether.
Uh, this isn’t helping your buddy Gavin, Phil.
Just look at poor Market St. It’s overflowing.
Thanks for highlighting the insane amount of poop on the Poop Map, tho. https://t.co/RMzThiaFdW pic.twitter.com/snJpKGxnwW

The @WashingtonPost is so in the tank for the Democrats it now has its fact checker fact checking excrement. You just cannot make this stuff up. https://t.co/W2XtymcBBA

“There’s not THAT much human shit on the sidewalks of Democrat-run cities,” explained the professional journalist https://t.co/Fxj37ALhoW

Yeah, there’s a lot of shit on the San Fran streets, but if you make the dots on the map smaller it doesn’t look so bad. https://t.co/sLEp1uFcGD

You don’t realize that the size of the shit-dots isn’t what makes this mapping tool entirely bonkers?
You’ve fallen off the ‘defend-the-dems-at-all-cost’ poop deck, man… https://t.co/fLeBj2g0aD pic.twitter.com/pwI5WxEBnK— Joe Borelli (@JoeBorelliNYC) December 2, 2023
Hey Philip why did you, a respected journalist, disable replies?
Maybe you’re actually a coward and a hack https://t.co/pZ6ieKbmt8— Corporal Punishment (@CplPunishment_) December 2, 2023

“None of this is to say that San Francisco doesn’t have a problem with human waste. It does,” Bump acknowledges. “It is, instead to say that the poop problem isn’t as bad as DeSantis’s big brown map would suggest.”
Like pretty much everyone else who writes for the once-venerable newspaper, Bump flushed his credibility long ago.
