Watch: Marco Rubio scores another gig as a party DJ

Secretary of State Marco Rubio solidified his nickname as “Secretary of Everything” after a video of him at a wedding went viral over the weekend.

The former Florida senator earned the nickname by juggling multiple roles in the Trump administration, leading the State Department as well as serving as National Security Adviser and head of the National Archives.

On Saturday, Rubio added the job of DJ to his resume, as he was seen in a “behind the scenes” video holding headphones behind a DJ booth at a wedding.

“Our Great Secretary of State @MarcoRubio DJ’s weddings too! Here he is in action tonight at a family wedding…Let’s goooooo!!!” White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino wrote in the post of the video.

Rubio could be seen discussing with someone who was likely the hired DJ as “Shiver” by John Summit & HAYLA was playing, guests dancing and chanting along. He even waved his arm along with the beat at one point, whipping up the celebratory mood.

The break from duties comes as Rubio is set to travel to the Vatican and Italy for meetings this week, including with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s top diplomatic official, according to Reuters.

“Secretary of State Marco Rubio is slated to travel to Italy to meet with Pope Leo XIV this week, according to a senior Vatican official, marking the first high-ranking encounter between the pontiff and a top administration official since President Donald Trump issued withering criticism of the Chicago-born pope last month,” the Washington Post reported. “Italian press reports suggest Rubio may also meet with senior Italian officials after a rupture in the formerly warm relationship between Trump and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.”

Rubio’s stint as a momentary DJ before stepping back into his diplomatic shoes earned waves of reaction on social media, where X users weighed in.
