Fox News host Jesse Watters let loose on “naive, detached and…snobby” former President Barack Obama’s globalist views after recent complaints of “obscene inequality” in corporate media.
“…he’s never really looking at things from an American perspective.”

Last week, the one-time commander-in-chief and perpetual globalist sat down with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour the same day he secured a $26 million grant from a foundation in Greece to impact change at his Chicago-based Obama Foundation. During the chat, the president railed against the coverage of the submersible that had imploded near the Titanic in comparison to a capsized vessel in the Mediterranean Sea.
“Well, when you’re a citizen of the world, you always think about the world instead of the United States,” Watters began his diatribe during Monday’s edition of “The Five.”
“Remember, this is a guy whose father has roots in Africa. This is a guy who spent a lot of his childhood in Southeast Asia. Is that right? I think it’s right,” he continued, prompting co-host Greg Gutfeld to interject, “He ate a dog, Jesse!”
“I didn’t bring that up, but I’m glad you did. And then spent a lot of time in Hawaii. Was the last state to get a star on the flag? Not so sure about that,” Watters continued. “But, he’s never really looking at things from an American perspective. He’s always speaking to the world — even when he’s speaking to us, he’s appealing to the world.”
As reported, Obama had said last week, “Our democracy is not going to be healthy with the levels of inequality that we’ve seen generated from globalization, automation, the decline in unions, obscene inequality.”
Noting the “24-hour coverage” of the submersible tragedy that resulted in five deaths, the president complained, “At the same time, right here, just off the coast of Greece, we had 700 people dead, 700 migrants who were apparently being smuggled into here and it’s made news but it’s not dominating in the same way and in some ways, it’s indicative of the degree to which peoples’ life chances have grown so disparate. It’s very hard to sustain a democracy when you have such massive concentrations of wealth.”

Watters, who will be moving to the 8 p.m. timeslot formerly occupied by ousted Tucker Carlson, broke down the reality of the coverage with some sausage-making details as he rattled off the newsworthy points about the submersible in comparison to the Mediterranean smuggling ship.
Noting suspense and access to interview subjects connected to the victims, he also hammered home an America First perspective as he pointed out a capsized vessel off the coast of Miami would be far more relevant to the lives of the American audience.
“We don’t live in Europe, Barack Obama. This is the United States of America. And it just shows how naive, detached and how snobby he is to not understand this is the United States,” Watters said, “and as sad as it is — and it was a horrible story off the coast — this is not something that concerns most Americans in their spare time.”
