We finally meet a socialist candidate Bernie Sanders won’t endorse

Bernie Sanders has had no problem bucking the Dem establishment to back fellow-socialist candidates, until now.

A short list of DSA-affiliated candidates that Sanders has endorsed includes Claire Valdez (NY-07), Melat Kiros (CO-01), and Donavan McKinney (MI-13), and most recently, Michigan’s Abdul El-Sayed, who won the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate.

Echoing similarly disturbing terms to the Democratic Socialists of America’s new rule, Sanders has said candidates will only get his stamp of approval if they support his socialist government-run healthcare plan:

Enter into the chat, Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong, who is running to be governor of Wisconsin. Hong has left a trail of troubling and bizarre statements, including but not limited to:

Could these be the reasons Sanders feels uncomfortable giving her his endorsement? Likely not, given he proudly backed disgraced ex-Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner until polls showed he was no longer viable.

OH! Maybe that’s it.

Regardless, Sanders says he doesn’t normally get involved in gubernatorial races. Whatever the reason for his snub, social media had a field day with the news:
