Playing all the hits, America’s Governor unloaded on the White House “tool” propped up to push the left’s agenda with optimism for the return of former President Donald Trump.

As the second night of the Republican National Convention unfolded with the theme “Make America Safe Again,” GOP unity was on full display as top primary challengers took the stage to show their support for Trump. Following businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis kept the audience on their feet as he tore into Marxist ideology and the presiding “figurehead” in the Oval Office.
“Our enemies do not confine their designs to between 10AM and 4PM,” the governor said reminding the Milwaukee, Wisconsin crowd of Biden’s typical schedule before earning a smile for the president. “We need a commander-in-chief who can lead 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. America cannot afford four more years of a ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ presidency.”

The statesman continued with a stark reminder of how the executive branch has been governed since midday on Jan. 20, 2021, and asserted, “Let’s be honest here. Biden is just a figurehead. He’s a tool for imposing a leftist agenda on the American people.”
“They support open borders, allowing millions and millions of illegal aliens to pour into our country and to burden our communities — but just don’t send any to Martha’s Vineyard, then they get really upset,” he added reminding the audience how often he’d taken the fight directly to the Left.
BlazeTV host Dave Rubin zeroed in on DeSantis’ point about the empty suit incumbent and said on X, ‘The key point here is that Biden was sold to America as Old Joe, a moderate Democrat rather than a woke crazy socialist like Bernie or Elizabeth Warren. The fact is, he was just a sack they used to smuggle in all the bad policies.”

As the governor continued to call out the policies that had wrecked all sectors of the economy, eroded constitutional liberties, imposed gender ideology and more on children, and led to tragedies like the deaths of 13 service members during the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, he made clear, “They use the unelected bureaucracy to impose their will on us without our consent.”
DeSantis went on to contrast this with the very real impact conservative leadership could have, even when directly confronted by the collective efforts of radical extremists.
With specific reference to the Sunshine State, he said, “Today, due to bold leadership, the Democratic Party lies in ruins, the left is in retreat, freedom reigns supreme, the woke mind virus is dead and Florida is a solid Republican state. Now electing Donald Trump gives us the chance to do this all across America and we have a responsibility to step up and make it happen.”
“This is not a responsibility we should fear, it’s a responsibility we should welcome,” said DeSantis after invoking Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan. “After all, if not us, who, and if not now, when? Let’s make the 45th president of the United States the 47th president of the United States. Let’s elect Republicans up and down the ballot and let’s heed the call of our party’s nominee to ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ for these United States.”
