WH account of what Biden saw at processing center for migrants is ‘some North Korea style propaganda’

President Joe Biden’s long overdue trip to the “sanitized” southern border was precisely the photo-op style leadership leftists have become known for. So naturally, in the fallout, spin doctors like White House spokesman John Kirby are reframing the intent of the visit while glossing over the most pertinent detail.

Kirby, officially the National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, joined Fox News host Neil Cavuto Monday on “Your World” who spoke to the “frustration that [Biden] never met with migrants themselves.” As previously reported, shelters and encampments in El Paso, Texas had been cleared of illegal immigrants, even outside a Catholic church, with many being bussed over to Mexico ahead of the president’s visit.

To that, Kirby replied, “The real focus of his trip to El Paso was really on the state and local authorities as well as, of course, federal agents and Customs and Border Patrol agents at the border to make sure he had a full grasp of the challenges that they’re facing, the capabilities they need, the resources they want and how they’re dealing with the migrants.”

“That was the focus of the time that he was on the ground,” Kirby continued before offering to get a head start on the nominations for propagandist of the year. “He did visit a migrant processing center. There weren’t any migrants there at the time he visited.”

Ya think.

Many were quick to point out the obvious with conservative commentator Katie Pavlich adding, “This is some North Korea style propaganda.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson touched on this as well when he brought in El Paso native, president of the Border Security Coalition, and Border Patrol agent wife, Irene Armendariz-Jackson to speak on the situation in her hometown.

Before introducing her on Monday’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” he replayed Kirby’s comments from Friday’s White House press briefing where the spokesman had preempted Biden’s visit by deflecting the early reports of illegals getting pushed out.

“The president is very much looking forward to seeing for himself firsthand what the border security situation looks like, particularly in El Paso,” Kirby told the press. “He’s very much also looking forward to getting a chance to talk to Customs and Border Patrol agents on the ground who are actually involved in this mission to get their firsthand perspectives of it.”

“How can Kirby live with himself?” Carlson asked. “What a liar. Stand up for the country for once.”

Armendariz-Jackson echoed that point and told the host, “It just exposes one more time the hypocrisy and the lies of this administration. Nothing that comes out of that administration should we believe.”

“We already knew what they were gonna do because they did it when [Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas came; they did it when [Vice President Kamala] Harris came. Why wouldn’t they do it when Biden was coming?” she asked rhetorically.

When Carlson sought the El Paso resident’s feelings on the blatant disregard for the national security and humanitarian problem continuing to escalate, she said, “It’s a slap on the face. We are in the midst of a crisis. We see it every day.”

“Biden was not coming to see the reality of the border,” Armendariz-Jackson contended. “He was coming to see a sanitized–a clean El Paso, and not only shame on the administration, but shame on our Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) and shame on our mayor for allowing this to happen.”

“What was the price,” she concluded, “that they promised them to be able to clean this up and make Biden look good?”

“Selling out their own city,” Carlson added, decrying the behavior as “the most shameful.”
