The spread of late-stage Republic sentiments found a Turning Point USA contributor among those leading the charge for a fiscal revolt over rampant fraud.
“What are the feds gonna do?”
Thanks in part to the — to quote President Donald Trump — “seriously retarded” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), an increasing number of Americans are crossing the Rubicon to oppose the out-of-control use of taxpayer dollars. This includes reporter and TPUSA contributor Savanah Hernandez, who declared on X, “F*ck it,” where it concerned forking over any more money to the government.
As billions of dollars in Minnesota, some of which had allegedly been funneled to the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab, appeared to be just the tip of the fraud iceberg across the country, Hernandez planted her feet in opposition to the lack of oversight and accountability.
“F*ck it, I’m not paying taxes this year. And then when the IRS comes after me, I’ll blow that up into a huge national story about how the government will destroy your life over a couple thousand dollars meanwhile the Pentagon just failed their 8th straight audit in a row, Somalis literally come to the U.S. just to defraud us out of billions and illegals are prioritized for section 8 housing and welfare programs over Americans,” she wrote insisting, “I’m not paying for it anymore.”
Earning over 2 million views in less than a day, reposts of the reporter’s line in the sand included outgoing Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R), who captioned the message, “This is how angry Americans are and rightfully so, with nearly $40 Trillion in debt and Social Security becoming insolvent in 2023. Now imagine if millions of Americans did this.”

Hernandez made clear that she was serious about her intent and later posted to X, “I’m not even joking, I am fully supporting Americans not paying taxes this year or any other year until we see arrests made, funds being utilized properly and fraud being rooted out.”
Standing in as an example of the broken system, she also shared a report she’d done in March outside New York City’s illegal alien-housing, The Roosevelt Hotel, where Jackson Hewitt was allegedly promising foreign nationals, who were already getting three hots and a cot courtesy of taxpayers, tax refunds of up to $14,000.
“Speaking of tax season, I should probably go investigate if Jackson Hewitt is planning on offering illegals $14,000 tax refunds AGAIN this year.”

Hernandez wasn’t alone in her position as Greene went on to suggest, based on the number of people posting on social media that they too were “opting out” that a national tax strike was “incoming.” This included the Hodge twins, who begged the question, “What are the feds gonna do if we all just stop paying taxes?”
