‘What’s wrong with him?’ MTG demands all records on shooter be released, asks why there’s always a coverup

Much remains to be learned about the suspect responsible for the murder of at least six and the wounding of dozens at the Highland Park Independence Day parade Monday, but some things are readily apparent.

While progressives who spent the weekend debasing American heritage and the culture that we’ve moved away from only to pivot once again to blaming guns for these tragedies, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is demanding answers to the real problems that have gone ignored.

Like clockwork, a shooting happened in a city that already has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, and, rather than looking at the suspect and examining what genuine preventative measures could have been taken to impede such a heinous act from happening, Democrats turned to the tool. Gov. J.B Pritzker (D-Ill.) and Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) led a chorus of renewed calls to ban “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines along with other “commonsense” reforms as a means toward their end.

Greene, a stalwart proponent of the Second Amendment, pushed back against the typical liberal drivel and sought answers to real questions with a fiery thread that began with her pointing out, “The guy made rap videos about school shooting or being killed in a hale of bullets by police and was ‘known to the police.’ The public deserves to know why! Release his records, school record, arrest, drugs and prescription drugs, hospitalizations, psychiatric.”

From there, she drew attention to a photo making its way around the internet and juxtaposed it with information provided by the FBI, “The public should not allow this to continue. People are not stupid. Is he in jail or rehab or a psychiatric center in this photo? That’s not his bedroom. 22 yrs old and 5’11 and 120 lbs is not normal or healthy. What drugs or psychiatric drugs or both does he use?”

When it was suggested that the image had been photoshopped, the congresswoman asserted that was all the more reason to let the public know the facts to quash the spread of misinformation.

“He did not just wake up one day, buy guns, and decide to do a mass shooting into a July 4th parade. He has a history, a very dark one, and people deserve to know about it. There is documentation of what’s wrong with him. This is true about all of them that do this,” Greene went on. “Why is the story all eerily similar and the results almost always the same? They always delete everything about these shooters off of any searchable database and hide the truth about these young men. But why? Then it turns into blame the guns.”

Greene had touched on only some of the warning signs and accurately expressed that accounts of the suspect were being suspended from social media platforms closing off access to information to the general public as corporate media promotes the narrative that they see fit.

While Democrats insist on more regulations being imposed to interfere with the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens, they ignore the reality that legislation does not deter criminals. Besides the obvious truth that killing is already illegal, foreign nations with stricter gun laws than anywhere in the United States have suffered the same problems with mass shootings.

Denmark and Norway were victims of mass shootings recently where the government must approve each citizen’s request to possess a firearm and background checks include a review of mental health records. Despite that, both suspects were said to have had known disorders “including paranoid schizophrenia, PTSD and ‘delusions'” in the case of the suspect in Norway who killed two and wounded more than 20 others.

“Until we are willing to rip open the ugly truth about the dark and destructive path these young men are on that lead them to mass shootings,” Greene concluded, “then they will continue. No matter how many gun control laws are passed. Even with no guns at all, evil will find a way until it’s fixed.”
