White House burned after FBI finds MORE classified docs at Biden’s home: ‘Is the scavenger hunt over?’

The White House is facing renewed criticism in the face of even more classified documents being found and confiscated from President Joe Biden’s Delaware home during a 13-hour “consensual” FBI sweep that was conducted on Friday.

In a statement to CNN issued Saturday, the president’s personal attorney confirmed that the FBI took possession of “six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President.”

“DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years,” attorney Bob Bauer added.

This bombshell comes roughly a week after White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters they “should assume” that the search for more documents is “complete.”

Listen:

Fox News notes that more documents were found the exact same night that the press secretary made this clearly false claim.

“On Jan. 13, a day after Jean-Pierre’s initial ‘complete’ remark, White House special counsel Richard Sauber said more classified documents were found Thursday evening,” according to Fox News.

And then a week later on Friday, the 20th, the FBI conducted its sweep and discovered the latest set of documents.

Republicans, who as a reminder now control the House, were not pleased by these developments.

“Biden’s White House claimed all classified documents were turned over. Now the Justice Department found more. Is the scavenger hunt over? Americans need answers now,” the House Oversight Committee tweeted late Saturday.

Sen. Ted Cruz meanwhile zeroed in on the unusual finding that some of the documents were from Biden’s days in the Senate.

“This says some of the docs are from his Senate service. Serious Q: how on earth did he do that? I’ve served in the Senate for 10 years. EVERY single classified doc I’ve read—100%—have been in a secure SCIF in the basement of the Capitol. What the hell??” he tweeted Saturday.

Former President Donald Trump also reacted to the bombshell.

“They created this Documents mess for themselves by being so totally DERANGED about me, and I did NOTHING WRONG!!!” he wrote on Truth Social.

Look:

They did create this mess for themselves by going in so hard on his own mishandling of classified documents. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, they therefore have no right to complain as Republicans — who, once again, now control the House — go in just as hard on the president.

Speaking of which, last week House Oversight Committee chair James Comer submitted a letter to the White House demanding access to “documents and communications related to the searches of Biden’s homes and other locations by the president’s aides for classified documents, as well as the visitor log of the president’s Wilmington, Delaware, home from January 20, 2021 to present,” according to CNN.

“It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,” Comer wrote in the letter addressed to White House chief of staff Ron Klain.

“As Chief of Staff, you are head of the Executive Office of the President and bear responsibility to be transparent with the American people on these important issues related to the White House’s handling of this matter,” he added.
