White House finally responds to student Laken Riley’s murder but still not a peep from Joe

President Joe Biden has been silent about the death of Augusta University student Laken Riley on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, her death allegedly being at the hands of an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.

The White House did issue a statement on Monday saying “people” should be held accountable if found guilty of committing crimes.

“We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Laken Hope Riley,” a White House spokesperson told Fox News. “People should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law if they are found to be guilty. Given this is an active case, we would have to refer you to state law enforcement and ICE.”

Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, is accused of murdering Riley on UGA’s campus Thursday morning while she was out for a jog.

Ibarra illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso, Texas, in September 2022 and was released into the United States, according to Fox News. He traveled to New York City, where he was arrested a year later and “charged with acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and a motor vehicle license violation.” He was released by NYC officials before ICE could issue a detainer.

The illegal immigrant has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another.

Former President Donald Trump pinned the nursing student’s death squarely on President Biden’s shoulders.

He posted on Truth Social: “Crooked Joe Biden’s Border INVASION is destroying our country and killing our citizens! The horrible murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley at the University of Georgia should have NEVER happened! The monster who took her life illegally entered our Country in 2022…and then was released AGAIN by Radical Democrats in New York after injuring a CHILD!! When I am your President, we will immediately Seal the Border, Stop the Invasion, and on Day One, we will begin the largest deportation operation of illegal CRIMINALS in American History! May God Bless Laken Riley and her family!!! Our prayers are with you!
