White House rips Raskin over Trump cognitive exam inquiry: ‘Stupid person’s idea of a smart person’

The White House slapped down a top House Democrat who demanded that President Donald J. Trump be subjected to a cognitive exam as the party of bad faith is pushing for his removal under the 25th Amendment.

In a Friday letter to Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, who serves as Trump’s physician, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) called for the president to undergo a “comprehensive cognitive assessment” with the results made public, citing the Iran war and Trump’s recent bellicose remarks and social media posts regarding the Islamic Republic.

“Experts have repeatedly warned that the President has been exhibiting signs consistent with dementia and cognitive decline. And, in recent days, the country has watched President Trump’s public statements and outbursts turn increasingly incoherent, volatile, profane, deranged, and threatening,” wrote Raskin, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

“His apparently deteriorating condition has caused tremendous alarm across the nation (and political spectrum) about the President’s cognitive function and continuing mental fitness for the office of President, and prompted concerns about the President’s wellbeing,” he wrote.

Raskin’s letter specifically cited Trump’s controversial Truth Social post from earlier this week that stated “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” which some, including Raskin, interpreted as a threat to commit genocide. The letter also referenced Trump’s profane Easter morning post that read “Open the F**kin’ Strait, you crazy bastards.”

“This is plainly out of the realm of normal politics. When the President of the United States threatens to extinguish a civilization on social media, rants about combat missions with children at the Easter Egg Roll, and drops profane tirades on Easter morning, we have indisputably entered the realm of profound medical difficulty and concern,” Raskin said.

The White House punched back, landing a blow directly to Raskin’s ugly head.

“Lightweight Jamie Raskin is a stupid person’s idea of a smart person. President Trump’s sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the past four years when Democrats like Raskin intentionally covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people,” a WH spox said, according to Scott MacFarlane, the chief Washington correspondent for the leftist Meidas Touch.

The former radical college professor has been obsessed with taking down Trump for years, hustling the ridiculous Emoluments Clause sham, and was a member of the defunct J6 select committee as well as a manager of one of the Democrats’ two failed impeachment efforts. The 25th Amendment push is going to inevitably end in failure, too.
