Whoopi distorts Trump’s words in warning he would ‘disappear’ journalists, gay folks if elected

Whoopi Goldberg unleashed another dose of fear-mongering on “The View” as she warned that not voting to re-elect President Joe Biden will mean the “other guy” will win and put people in camps.

The multimillionaire actress wagged a finger at Americans who are struggling under Bidenomics, lecturing about the alternative if former President Trump makes it back to the White House.

In explaining that there are two options, Whoopi distorted Trump’s words about being a dictator only on “day one” so he can “close the border” and “drill, drill, drill,” to warn that he would “disappear” people if elected.

“Either you want it to work — forward thinking, you want everybody to have the ability to say how they feel, what they want, to move forward — or you don’t,” she said. “Or do you want somebody who says, ‘I’m going to be, on day one, I’m going to be a dictator.’ Who says it to you, tells you, ‘I’m going to put you people away. I’m going to take all the journalists, I’m going to take all the gay folks, and I’ll move you all around and disappear you.’ If that’s the country you want, you know who to vote for. If that’s not the country you want, you have to make a decision.”

Goldberg’s rant followed the typically inane rhetoric from co-host Sunny Hostin who said, “What we’re seeing by the Republican Party, and I give it to them, we’re seeing a long game. We’re seeing that they are dismantling or attempting to dismantle institutions.”

She went on to cite “grievance politics” and “culture wars” before Goldberg shared her views.

“What’s interesting for me is that people’s faith in the country is waning. That’s the thing that’s pissing me off. Because, in fact, there’s a reason Joe Biden ran the way he did. There’s a reason he’s running for democracy now, because that’s really what’s at stake,” the 68-year-old, multi-award-winning Goldberg began.

“You’re worried that you can’t pay your bill? Wait until the other guy becomes president, and you won’t have to worry about it because you’ll be in some camp somewhere because that’s his promise,” the woman with a net worth of $60 million said.

“His promise to us is he’s going to force people to do his bidding. That’s what he said. I’m going to be good on day one, and I’m going to turn into this other person,” she continued, distorting Trump’s words for her gullible audience.

“So, here’s the deal. This is all up to you. This is all up to you. We can sit up here until we’re green in the face, but this really comes down to the people,” Goldberg declared.

“What is the country you want? Do you want the country that you kind of thought you had where we all get to say what we think and we don’t have to be afraid of being American and believing that, yeah, there will be people who come in, and some will get in quick and some will take a different route,” she added. “But they’re coming here for a reason because they’re living in a place that’s not good for their families.”

Goldberg’s inane rant followed on the heels of her racist co-host who suggested people complaining about inflation are just jealous of others.

“‘I can’t pay my electric bill. My gas bill’s high. I need my food. Why is that? Why is my station in life like this? It’s because that black guy got into Harvard and became president,’ or ‘it’s because that immigrant is over there doing better — driving a nicer car than I’m driving,’” she claimed.

She also accused Republicans of “dumbing down” Americans to control them.

“Women don’t have reproductive rights anymore over their own bodies. Why? So they can have power over women. Why is French and Mandarin and Spanish being taken away from our public schools? So that we can be a monolithic — a monolingual society and can’t compete globally,” she pontificated. “The Republicans are intentionally dumbing down our electorate, erasing history, so that past can become prologue, and so they can remain in power.”

Goldberg’s twisting of Trump’s words and her lecturing to the masses earned her well-deserved scorn on social media.
