In the latest example of how ordinary citizens who dare to challenge left-wing orthodoxy have their lives upended by the activist media, a hair salon owner has been savaged for banning “woke” leftists obsessed with pronouns from her shop and “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg used her national television platform to punch down at an American who now will be severely punished by the mob for exercising her right to free speech.
On Wednesday’s edition of the ABC daytime talk show, Goldberg opened a segment with an attack on Christine Geiger who owns the Studio 8 Hair Lab in Traverse City, Michigan who ran afoul of the cultural thought police for a Facebook post stating: “If a human identifies as anything other than a man/woman please seek services at a local pet groomer. You are not welcome at this salon. Period.”
Goldberg seized on the since-deleted post to argue that the recent Supreme Court ruling that a Colorado graphic artist could not be forced to design websites for same-sex marriages has led to widespread persecution of the LGBTQ+ community, a protected demographic that wields immense power in the media, corporations, and government and to whom the decision was seen as a major setback.

“Recently the Supreme Court ruled that a Colorado web designer had the right to refuse to design a website for a same-sex wedding that actually wasn’t real,” she said, arguing that the case was based on a lie, a leftist talking point that has been repeated to delegitimize the designer and the court’s conservative justices. “It wasn’t real…they made up the situation and Neil Gorsuch bit.”
“They cited her First Amendment rights. Now, a salon owner in Michigan argues that this gives her the right to refuse to serve transgender clients,” Goldberg proclaimed to groans from the audience. “First of all, I don’t think any transgender folks are comin’ to your salon,” she added as applause broke out.
“Having looked up some more information, you know, if you decide you don’t want to do somebody’s hair, you have every right to say no,” she continued. “When you – because maybe you don’t know how – and you don’t want everybody to know that you don’t have your -you can say no. What you can’t do is what you did, lady. Is you can’t make fun and say rude stuff about people. That’s when it becomes a problem.”
The salon owner’s Facebook post also expressed disdain for Michigan’s Democrat governor, COVID authoritarian lockdown queen Gretchen Whitmer and a new bill making its way through the Michigan legislature that could give the state the power to steeply fine and even imprison those who hurt the feelings of members of protected demographic groups, including the usage of the wrong pronouns.
“Should you request to have a particular pronoun used please note we simply refer to you as ‘hey you,’,” Studio 8 Hair Lab wrote. “Regardless of MI HB 4744. Kiss (lips emoji) my A** Governor Witchmere.”

“This is America; free speech. This small business has the right to refuse services. We are not bound to any oaths as realtors are regarding discrimination,” read the now-deleted post that has infuriated leftists.
Goldberg added, “Listen, if you can do this — if this woman can say this because she believes this is her right, what is to keep her from saying, ‘I’m not going to serve you, you look Jewish. I’m not going to serve you, you might be black.’”
