Soon after former President Donald Trump suggested someone else may be pulling the strings in the Oval Office, Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo questioned “who’s running the show” at the White House.
Speaking with Rep. Richard McCormick on “Mornings with Maria” the host examined the connection between President Joe Biden and his one-time boss, former President Barack Obama.
Recently Trump addressed the ongoing theory by some that Obama is really in charge, effectively running his third term as president through his former VP.
“You’ve been ripped off by everybody and betrayed by the corrupt globalists, Washington, Wall Street people, those combinations of Washington, Wall Street, they’re the worst of all,” Trump said in October at a New Hampshire campaign event. “And it’s never been worse than it is now under crooked Joe Biden, and frankly, his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. I think it’s his boss.”
The former president also addressed recent attacks against him for seeming to mistakenly refer to Biden as Obama.

“So, who’s running the show here?” Bartiromo asked McCormick on Monday after criticizing the president for apologizing to Muslim leaders after he questioned the number of deaths in Gaza amid Israel’s war with Hamas.
“I mean, you know, does he know what’s going on or is he being directed by President Obama?” she added, referring to Biden.
“He definitely doesn’t know what’s going on,” the Georgia Republican responded.
“Whether he’s being directed by Obama or some other staff members is really questionable, but if you look at his cognitive decline in the last 50 years, we’ve been able to literally in real-time watch this guy in public life,” he added.
“And the way he used to talk; he used to be very slick, very Clinton-esque if you will. He no longer has that cognitive ability. He misinterprets questions, he misinterprets emotions, he doesn’t have a strategy, he doesn’t have any sort of education or ability to interpret new data. This is something that, as a New York doctor, I would look at somebody like this and think, they really need to be taken care of rather than trying to take care of an entire nation,” McCormick said.
Bartiromo seemed relieved to hear someone tell it like it is.
“Well, thank you!” she exclaimed.
“You are a doctor and have the background to make such a statement, and in the face of all of this — by the way, we’re all watching this, okay? We’re watching him fall on steps. We’re watching him misinterpret questions. But, we’re just the American people. How about our adversaries watching it and running roughshod over him, like China?” Bartiromo wondered.
In a recent radio interview, Trump told Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade, “You know Obama and Biden. But Obama is Biden’s boss. Guess you didn’t really know that.”
“I don’t think Biden knows what’s happening, to be honest with you,” the former president said. “I think Obama is calling these shots, and he’s always felt this way about Iran. There’s no question about that. No, I think Obama and Obama’s people certainly are calling the shots, not Biden.”
