Will Cain puts Nikki Haley on the spot over falling for fake news, lecturing us on Bubba Wallace ‘noose’

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley was put on the defensive when Fox News host Will Cain confronted her about swallowing an obvious hate hoax, hook, line, and sinker during a discussion on the Democratic Party’s constant race-baiting.

The former South Carolina governor and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations appeared on Tuesday’s edition of “Fox News Tonight,” the replacement show featuring rotating hosts in the time slot left open when the network ousted Tucker Carlson and the topic was President Joe Biden’s racial goading of an audience of black graduates during a college commencement ceremony speech over the weekend.

After Haley rightly accused Biden and his fellow leftists of inserting “race into everything” to pit people “against each other,” Cain tripped her up by recalling her remarks when black NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace discovered a “noose” hanging in his stall at Talladega Speedway in 2020, a claim that prompted a hysterical response including a team of 15 FBI agents that immediately descended, eventually finding that it was just a rope being used as a garage door pull.

“I wanted to ask you about one of your statements from the past. I do think there are those that cynically seek to divide us based upon race,” Cain said, adding that while he did not think that she was “one of those people,” there “are also people who readily accept a false premise too quickly, and I was disappointed to see one of your tweets from 2020.”

“This was during the Bubba Wallace affair when there was supposedly a noose hung in his garage at a NASCAR race. It turned out to be a hoax and you tweeted at that time that, ‘We should all stand with Bubba Wallace today against the cowards who secretly put the noose in his garage stall. Watch your back, cowards. Bubba has a bigger army than you do,’” he said as an image of her tweet was shown on the screen.

“That was a false story. It was a hoax,” he said. “It’s been investigated. It’s not true. Why did you accept it as true?”

Haley responded by laying the blame on NASCAR who she said that she “trusted” and not on her own jumping to conclusions to cynically curry favor during the summer of the George Floyd race riots.

“So when I saw NASCAR came out with that, and they showed all of those race car drivers behind him, I trusted them, and I trusted that they had done their homework. That clearly was not the case,” Haley said. “But you know, I had had a long relationship with them and I had no reason to doubt them.”

“So you regret accepting that and trusting that institution in that moment?” Cain asked.

“They’re a group that always does their homework. They always are very careful and measured in everything that they do,” Haley claimed. “And so I trusted friends that I had worked with for years.”

Cain expressed gratitude for Haley’s “reflection and correction” while explaining that he wanted her to address her falling for the hoax since she is “running to be the leader of the free world, and you have to be able to stand up in that moment and accept the truth or look for the truth when everyone else is telling you a lie.”

The Wallace “noose” incident was just one of the many similar such sightings that are hysterically reported by the media in a country where real hate crimes are so rare that they have to be constantly manufactured to feed the Democratic Party’s cynical exploitation of racial divisions as a strategy to grab and hold onto political power.
