The scope of the Somali fraud scandal began in Minnesota, but that appears to be just the tip of the iceberg as reports pour in from across the country of suspicious childcare facilities and now healthcare businesses being run by Somali migrants.
The theft may be in the tens of billions of dollars, and the Department of Health and Human Services is freezing some child care funds nationwide as it investigates claims of fraud, but that does little to recoup the massive theft of taxpayer dollars.
Back in Minnesota, NewsNation’s Rich McHugh found one building with 60 “healthcare” businesses registered to it. When he went to knock on doors, McHugh found “nothing” inside.
“Many of them … they appear to be just window fronts, door fronts with nothing, with nobody behind,” he reported.

The troubling story comes amid a report out of Columbus, Ohio, of a “cluster” of Somali-owned daycare facilities in a strip mall that are suspected of fraud. Ohio has the second-largest Somali population in the United States after Minnesota, with an estimated 60,000 living in the Columbus area.
American taxpayers are feeling betrayed and are beginning to question why the hell they keep paying taxes to a corrupt government that brings in people by the thousands who hate them and their culture, and refuse to assimilate. Making matters worse, our politicians set up money distribution programs to steer what appears to be billions of dollars to these foreign nationals.
There is a growing feeling that we have come full circle and are being taxed without representation, as Republicans plan strongly worded memos and performative hearings that will be used for fundraising and reelection efforts. In the end, the DC political machine never holds anyone accountable for stealing from taxpayers, who often put off needed purchases like a refrigerator or a washer to pay their tax bill.
Knowing full well that their government is pissing that money away, often through money laundering programs that steer much of the wealth back to corrupt politicians — who always leave DC wealthier than when they arrived.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:

Wow, first it was daycare centers, now it’s healthcare businesses. What’s next?

But wait, what time did he go?
Business hours might be midnight to 4am.
Better call and be sure, so you can get one business to tell you that they are legit.
Then you can call it a day and wrap up your investigation CNN-style. 🤪

The officials running Minnesota didn’t even care. They didn’t even pretend to care.
Just letting people rip off taxpayers left and right without blinking an eye.

The crazy thing is that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.
It appears that Elon Musk’s guess of 20% GDP going to fraud may be accurate.
