An “apostate” Christian minister has gone viral for claiming that drag is “holy” and that God is “gay,” among other bizarre, outrageous things.
Rev. Caleb B Lines, Senior Minister of University Christian Church, is evidently a wannabe TikTok star with over 5,500 followers. He’s also a so-called “progressive,” surprise, surprise.
Early last month he posted a video to his TikTok account claiming drag is “holy,” and it was a doozy.

“Drag is holy. There has been an assault on the rights of drag performers in this country, and we must call out the hypocrisy and the injustice. Jesus called himself a mother hen longing to gather up her chicks,” he said in a video shared on Twitter that was viewed more than 4 million times.
“Gender is a construct, you see, and if Jesus can be a mother hen, then you can dress in drag. I’ve even heard it said that Jesus was and humanity is god in drag. So let me say this again for those of you in the back: Drag is holy!” he added.

The video attracted massive backlash even on TikTok, which is brimming with young leftists:
The backlash extended to Twitter as well, where critics responded with Bible quotes, messages, and reminders.

Such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, who masquerade as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. So it is not strange that his ministers also masquerade as ministers of righteousness.

That said, only a few critics seemed to take note of the grave error he’d made. Recall how he claimed “there has been an assault on the rights of drag performers in this country.”
This is categorically false. The so-called “assault” isn’t against drag show artists and performances. Even in Texas, a hot red state, drag performers are still welcome to do their thing.
What they’re not welcome to do is perform in front of children. THAT is what’s being targeted by legislation in red states — drag shows for kids. Not drag shows in general.
Lines, who is listed as co-executive director of ProgressiveChristianity.org on Fcebook, has also posted other offensive messages, including one about how God is virtually everything, including gay, as others noted.

“God is gay. God is a lesbian. God is trans. God is gender non-binary. God is straight. God is cis-gender. God is black. God is white. God is Middle Eastern. God is Asian. God is differently abled, mentally and physically. God is able-bodied. God is you, and you are God, because you are a reflection of God’s divine image,” he said.
Lines has also claimed Jesus was “woke.”

According to Charisma News, which is an offshoot of Charisma magazine, Lines basically runs what they’ve termed an “apostate church.” But he’s not alone in this.
“While the notion of cloaking one’s own personal ideologies in Scripture in the hopes of justifying sinful lifestyle is not new, this practice has increased in recent years, especially in apostate churches that look to transform and ‘modernize’ the Word of God,” a recent piece published by the site reads.
Regarding Hines in particular, Charisma News notes that he also pushes leftist narratives “such as Jesus being a liberal, the need for gun control in America, the inclusion of the radical LGBTQ agenda and that true Christianity needs to be ‘reclaimed’ because everything from Constantine on is wrong.”
