Woke education agendas pop up overseas: One mom reveals her fight against school’s radical teachings

A British mother is crying foul over the radical racial and sexual content her 13-year-old daughter, Isla, and her 15-year-old daughter, Natasha, were presented at school.

The content included “a lecture on white privilege; playing a rap song with the lyrics ‘our Prime Minister is a real racist’; and an art lesson where pupils were encouraged to produce their own Black Lives Matter poster after being shown an image of black and white people stabbing each other,” according to the Daily Mail.

The sexual content, pushed by an outside group called “School for Sexuality Education,” centered on stigmatizing “heteronormative” (straight) lifestyles and promoting “sex positive” ones. Note that the outside group’s website reportedly promotes pornography and sex toys.

Parent Clare Page’s concerns began in 2018 when Natasha, then nine, had “been told to refer to historical figures as ‘they’ rather than he or she because those who had come before us were unable to choose their preferred pronouns and that there were ‘many more than two genders,'” according to the Daily Mail.

“That was when the warning bell rang. I complained to the school and was staggered by the pushback from governors and the head teacher. It was basically a case of ‘there is no way you can touch this,'” Page said to the Daily Mail.

But things only got worse when the school tapped an LGBT organization to provide resources for its “anti-bullying week.”

“No one is against the idea of an anti-bullying week — but suddenly this message is being conflated with other more complex material. The first thing I knew about it was when I arrived home to find my daughter watching an Olly Pike cartoon about a girl who has an overnight sex change which solves her bullying problem,” Page said.

“Even if you take away the issue of whether you should be discussing trans-sexualism to children in primary school, this is highly misleading,” she added.

Around this time, Isla reportedly started secondary school at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College, where she too came face-to-face with “woke” content.

“The first thing that made me prick up my ears was when Isla told me her English teacher had come in on his last day at the school wearing a Jeremy Corbyn T-shirt and telling them all they had to vote Labour,” according to Page.

Then she came to find out that one of her daughter’s fellow students was, with the full support of teachers, handing out propaganda leaflets from the radical climate change group Extinction Rebellion.

Then came the COVID lockdowns and remote schooling. It provided Page with an opportunity to see her kids’ school lessons for herself. She was shocked by what she saw, to put it mildly.

“One English teacher gave a lesson implying that America was a fascist police state and introduced the kids to a U.S. activist called Tamika Mallory. Some of her speeches are pretty incendiary, saying things like: ‘I don’t care if you burn down buildings,'” she told the Mail.

Then came the racial rap song and white/black stabbing image.

“Some of the resultant images produced by the children and praised by the teacher included a police station on fire and a girl being shot in the head,” Page said.

The mother of two tried complaining but to no avail. If anything, the problem only got worse.

Shortly after she complained, four assemblies about “white privilege” and “systemic racism” were held.

“There was a slide that said: ‘Is your curriculum too white?’ Children were also told that the point of the BLM phrase is that black lives were being treated as expendable by the police and the government that employs them,” according to Page.

Page first made headlines a week ago when The Times ran a paywalled report about her and other parents’ efforts at prodding their children’s schools to be open and transparent about the content they’ve been promoting.

“Clare Page plans to remove her daughter from Haberdashers’ Hatcham College in south-east London after her request to view some of the class materials was rejected – with staff saying they were ‘commercially sensitive,'” the Daily Mail reported, citing The Times’ reporting.

“Mrs Page said she fears her daughter was being ‘indoctrinated’ and that white pupils are being told they are ‘privileged simply because of their skin colour.'”

The same sort of indoctrination has been occurring here in the states.

It’s being driven by a “woke” international movement — albeit one only seen in the Western world — hellbent on tearing down Western institutions and rebuilding the world as some sort of elusive utopia ostensibly devoid of racism and hate.
