An Ohio city “saturated” by Haitian nationals left a resident of 45 years pleading for “a reason to stay” as threats to her family’s safety were forcing her hand.

While Democrats would rather make the election about demonizing former President Donald Trump and promoting unborn baby murder, American citizens have been made to feel increasingly unwelcome in their own neighborhoods. Now, as reports have highlighted a Venezuelan gang’s takeover of apartments in Colorado, a woman from Springfield, Ohio pleaded with city officials to deal with the constant safety concerns brought by an influx of roughly 20,000 Haitians in the city of 60,000 people.
“I’m done with what I’m seeing,” she told the Springfield City Commission during their Aug. 13, 2024 meeting. “It is so unsafe in my neighborhood anymore.”
“I have the homeless that were trying to camp out, and I have made concessions with them,” she explained before recounting, “It is so unsafe. I have men that cannot speak English in my front yard screaming at me, throwing mattresses in my front yard, throwing trash in my front yard.”
Drawing attention to her petite frame, she added, “And I can’t — look at me. I weigh 95 pounds. I couldn’t defend myself if I had to.”
While the commission listened to her plight, she went on to quote her husband as saying after 45 years in their home, “Guess what? It’s time to pack up and move.”
“I don’t understand what you expect of us as citizens. I understand they’re here under temporary protective status and you are protecting them. And I understand that our city services are overwhelmed and understaffed. But, who’s protecting us if we’re protecting them? Who’s protecting me?” she asked before closing, “I want out of this town. I am sorry. Please, give me a reason to stay.”
In July, the Springfield News-Sun reported that Springfield Mayor Rob Rue claimed city officials had been in the dark about the influx of foreign nationals following an investigation by the city’s Immigrant Accountability Response Team that formed in Oct. 2023.
“Springfield is now saturated,” he admitted and contended a “network of businesses knew what was coming.”
Rue explained, “There were companies that knew they were going to make an effort to bring in individuals who were crossing the border based on federal regulations that they could do that.”
“I’m upset at the fact that we didn’t get a chance to have an infrastructure in place if there were going to be 20,000 more people from 2020 to 2025. We didn’t get to do that,” the mayor added.
The response team formed following the death of 11-year-old Aiden Clark who had been ejected from a school bus when a man driving a minivan was said to have veered into oncoming traffic. The alleged driver was reported to be Haitian national Hermanio Joseph who had entered the United States illegally in Aug. 2022.

Since the meeting, as reports have shown an increasing number of arrests of illegal aliens for violent crimes, a warning was put out to residents alleging that one woman had lost her cat only to come home one day to see it hung from a branch in a tree being butchered like wild game by the people living in a neighbors house, said to be Haitians.
“I’ve been told they are doing this to dogs, they have been doing it at Snyder Park with the ducks & geese, as I was told that last by Rangers & police,” the message added while a picture featured a man walking with what appeared to be a dead waterfowl.
