Woman rants about white privilege and her family’s generational wealth — while demanding her piece

If there is an intended message in a long-winded rant from a clearly frustrated woman who thought it would be a good idea to go online and share her family’s dirty laundry, it’s that she believes parents should be on the hook to ensure their grown children have a comfortable life.

In the video, the woman is sitting in a car, which she claims to live in, as she records the rant — she also claims to be a single mother, so we are to assume the “biracial child” lives in the car also. She goes right at her father, insisting that his alleged good fortune in life is due to his white privilege, but it doesn’t seem to dawn on her that she, too, is white and if such privilege did exist, why isn’t she benefitting?

“So my father is a privileged, spoiled white man who had everything literally handed to him,” she said. “He was handed three waterfront properties in Brooklyn, within the backyards are docks which he rents.”

She rails about her father being bequeathed this generational wealth, before unloading on him.

“He has never been homeless a day in his life,  he has never been poor, he has never been unable to afford to eat or live on his own,” the woman says.

The rant gets darker when she claims that her father was a “predator,” with the video overlay stating that she too was a victim. She calls her father “abusive,” and shares details about who was sleeping with who. On and on she goes, claiming she works seven days a week “from 2 in the afternoon until 9 in the morning,” which would be a 19-hour shift at whatever job she may have.

She said she’s “barely able to survive,” adding “You guys are sitting on six figures in the bank while your child and grandchild are hardly able to live.”

“I tell him all the time you are a privileged white male, you are king baby, you are a toddler in a grown man’s body,” the woman said, before ranting more about how good her grandmother treated her father as a child and the fact that he was able to retire at 50 with a pension.

“When you try to call them out on their privilege, they just gaslight you and deny it,” she concluded. “I’m like, ‘How do you sleep at night knowing you’re sitting on all this money and your children can barely afford to survive?”

It’s impossible to know what circumstances led to the woman being in her current predicament, including decisions she may have made, but there’s likely a lesson in personal responsibility here somewhere.

The irony here, as one social media user noted, is that the woman is asking for precisely what she is slamming her father for, family money she didn’t earn:
