Woman watches car sink into lake as she protests ICE arrests in Massachusetts

A Massachusetts woman paid a soggy price for her efforts to yell at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as they arrested an illegal alien.

An ICE source provided Fox News’ Bill Melugin with video of the incident that took place in the small town of Upton, Massachusetts, as the protester’s car rolled into a lake and sank as she berated agents. Evidently, she forgot to put her car in park as she focused on yelling at the agents.

“Well, that sucks,” a voice can be heard saying in the video posted by Melugin.

“Look at that Lucy. Her car got lost,” the person said.

The now-viral video also appeared to show an officer and what looked like a person in handcuffs passing in front of the camera.

“If you’re going to stop your car to protest an ICE enforcement… at least put your car into park,” the Immigration and Customs Enforcement account on X posted.

Upton is in Worcester County and about 40 miles west of Boston, which has seen widespread anti-ICE protests in recent weeks as the Trump administration continues its immigration policies and targets so-called sanctuary cities.

“Sanctuary policies like those pushed by Mayor Wu not only attract and harbor criminals but protect them at the peril of law-abiding American citizens,” Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement earlier this month, referring to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu.

The video of the protester’s sinking car generated millions of views on X and sparked plenty of comments from social media users.
