Wounded US Marine motivated by Joe Rogan interview shares video of Trump visit to hospital

A wounded US Marine veteran called out the “bullsh– propaganda” pushed by the media and defended former President Donald Trump.

Clint Trial, who served in the military for more than 22 years and retired from the Marine Corps in 2020 took to social media the day after Trump sat for a three-hour interview with podcast giant Joe Rogan. The veteran, who lost his legs after an IED exploded under his feet while deployed in Afghanistan in 2019, was awarded the Purple Heart by Trump.

He posted a video of the moment the then-president bestowed the award, writing in a post on X that he was re-sharing it because it was taken down when he posted it in 2020.

“During the 2020 election cycle, I posted this to Instagram and it was taken down. Thank you @elonmusk for allowing my voice to be heard without being censored,” he wrote.

“Since it is election season…I thought I would share this once again for those who may still be uncertain about who to vote for. The man you saw on the @joerogan show last night ..is the man who came to visit me in the hospital after I was wounded,” Trial’s post read.

“I’ve tried to tell people that the media only shows an incredibly inaccurate depiction of this man,” he continued.

“Most no longer need convincing… but there are still millions who simply refuse to unplug their attention from mainstream cable media. I hope many of you will begin to see just how much bullsh– propaganda we’ve all been fed …how corrupt the machine is …and why this man is so hated by that very machine,” the Marine vet wrote.

“Quite simply … he is the biggest threat the machine, the system has ever faced. And with us behind him …the once unbeatable machine is losing,” he added, concluding, “Steady pressure.”

In addressing the claims of media bias in reporting on the award-giving at the time, Snopes noted that it “found almost no information about this veteran’s receiving a Purple Heart from President Trump in any news outlets, regardless of their perceived political leanings.”

The fact-checking site noted in a 2019 report that Trump was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland at the time for his annual physical when he wanted to meet with some of the wounded veterans being treated there. Snopes reported that the then-president “didn’t meet with this wounded veteran for a photo-op or with the expectation of garnering positive news coverage” since it was an unplanned visit.

Trial’s post sharing the moving video has garnered 4 million views as of this writing and he was praised on X for his service and his sacrifice.
