Ye visits Trump, asks him to be his 2024 running mate, describes ‘screaming’ response in wild video

Rapper Kanye West. or “Ye,” is prepping to run for the presidency in 2024 and released his first campaign video on Thursday which took a poke at former President Trump, claiming he was angered when Ye asked him to be his vice-presidential pick on the ticket.

West, who now goes by the name Ye, shared on Twitter alleged details about his meeting with the former president this past week at Mar-a-Lago. He asserted that the offer for second place on the ticket angered and confused Trump.

“I think the thing Trump was most perturbed about [was] me asking him to be my vice president,” Ye stated during the video. “I think that was lower on the list of things that caught him off guard.”

The rapper made his comments during a “debrief” session that discussed his visit to the White House.

Ye wondered on the video why Trump did not step in to legally protect Jan. 6 protesters while he was still president.

The rapper and fashion mogul claimed that he “walked in with intelligence” during the meeting as “someone who loves Trump.” He also encouraged the former president to listen to more of his “loyalists.”

“He basically gives me this would-be mob-esque kind of story of all that he went through to get Alice Johnson out of jail and that he did not do it for Kim [Kardashian] but he did it for me,” Ye recounted during the video. Johnson was a 63-year-old inmate Trump pardoned in 2018 as Kim Kardashian sought to get certain prisoners released.

Ye alleged that Trump yelled at him and insulted his ex-wife, Kardashian, whom he referred to as the mother of his children.

He went on to claim that the former president “started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I am going to lose.”

“Has that worked for anyone in history?” the rapper laughed. “That I am going to lose? Hold on, you’re talking to Ye.”

The Daily Beast is reporting that one of Ye’s advisors told them that “Trumpworld is in crisis.”

The media outlet’s reporter Zachary Petrizzo tweeted, “After Kanye West’s video release, his campaign adviser Milo Yiannopoulos continues to go after Trump in comments to The Daily Beast. He claims Trump is ‘wounded’ from the dinner and Trump has ‘neglected and betrayed everyone who loved him most.'”

Although Ye has not officially announced his candidacy, the video appears to do so with the hashtag #YE24. He has previously said that he would seek the presidency in 2024.

Trump has already thrown his hat into the ring officially for the 2024 GOP nomination. He made the announcement one week after the midterm elections, promising to “make America great and glorious again.” Since then, he has been attacked not only by Democrats but by Republicans and others such as Ye.

“I am running because I believe the world has not yet seen the true glory of what this nation can be. We have not reached that pinnacle, believe it or not,” Trump declared on Nov. 15.

“Just as I promised in 2016, I am your voice. I am your voice. The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we will not let them do that. What we have built together over the past six years is the greatest movement in history because it is not about politics. It’s about our love for this great country, America, and we’re not going to let it fail,” he vowed.

Politico’s national political correspondent Meridith McGraw reported that Ye was seen at Mar-a-Lago with political commentator Nick Fuentes.

“According to a source, far-right extremist Nick Fuentes was spotted with Kanye West at Mar-a-Lago. West tweeted last night he met with Trump at the club. West and Fuentes were also seen together at Miami airport,” McGraw tweeted.
