‘Yellowstone’ creator says rejecting Trump’s legitimacy threatens the rule of law

“Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan has slammed Democrats for refusing to acknowledge President Donald Trump’s legitimacy.

Appearing on podcaster Joe Rogan’s popular show this Tuesday, Sheridan warned that what Democrats are doing is “dangerous.”

“You can like Trump or not like Trump — people are going to like presidents and dislike presidents — but now defying the rule of law because he happens to be the head of the federal government and openly defying the federal government?” he began.

Listen:

“The repercussions of that are going to be, ‘OK, fine. You can’t stand this man. He’s a terrible president, and you’re not going to follow his laws, but that is the new normal now,'” Sheridan continued. “So when a president gets in that you do support, then the other side, because we have established this precedent, they’re just not going to follow his laws either. And now, we have eroded the rule of law. And then what happens?”

Civil war, perhaps?

Building on what Sheridan said, Rogan suggested that some of President Trump’s most controversial policies may be making things worse.

“The slippery slope is very dangerous,” he said. “We’re setting a very alarming precedent where you have masked militarized police with no ID that are running around the cities snatching people up. Like, this, this could set a precedent that could be used by the left if they get into power.”

Sheridan appeared to concur.

“It is slippery,” he conceded. “And again, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. And these politicians right now who are doing all of us a tremendous disservice in Washington, I feel our elected officials, because they’re not thinking beyond this next election. And maybe they never have.”

During the podcast appearance, Sheridan also took shots at Democrats for their worship of notorious liar and “career bureaucrat” Dr. Anthony Fauci:

“It’s not political. It shouldn’t be political. There shouldn’t be a right-left side to this. It’s, hey, a career bureaucrat f–king lied to us,” Sheridan said of Fauci’s history of lying.

Rogan responded by pointing out some of Fauci’s lies.

“He used the exact same language when he was talking about AZT as a medication for HIV that he used for the COVID vaccine: ‘The reason why it’s the only medication is because it is both safe and effective,'” Rogan noted. “The guy’s a monster.”

“Yeah, so literally, like, he’s one of those guys, like, throughout history where you’re gonna look back over time and you go, holy shit, this one guy’s lies, this one guy’s aspirations, this one guy’s career f–ked so many people over,” he added.

Sheridan completely agreed with Rogan’s assessment.

“Yeah, and I don’t— and I don’t understand why Democrats would want to fall on that sword,” he said.

“Because people are stupid and they just decide that because a Republican’s a president and anything the Republicans are pushing has to be bad,” Rogan interjected. “And that stupid f–king division, it’s so silly. It’s so silly, it really is.”

Sheridan also at one point took a shot at California Gov. Gavin Newsom, whom he labeled a “f–king car salesman.”

“That f–king car salesman, have you had that guy on?” he asked Rogan. “Doesn’t he have his own podcast?”

Sheridan then sarcastically added, “Because that state is running so well, the governor doesn’t need to govern. … He’ll give you the stats. Statistically, people are moving there in record numbers.”

Of course, the opposite is true:
