An illegal alien has been arrested by federal authorities in Massachusetts for allegedly strangling a local woman to death.
The illegal alien, 43-year-old Flavio Alcantara Dias, called 911 from the woman’s home Thursday afternoon, claiming he’d “accidentally” strangled 33-year-old Brianna Connolly to death, according to local station WFXT.
“He states very clearly [on the call], ‘Can I have police? A homicide just happened here right now,'” Middlesex County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Brandt said in court a day after the arrest.
“He then states, ‘I ended up killing a woman by mistake.’ He says, ‘I went crazy and suffocated her.’ Later on, [he] says that he strangled her,” Brandt continued.
He added that Dias had admitted on the call that he and the victim had been doing drugs and that they’d gotten into an argument after she’d denied him sex.

When the police arrived, Connolly was pronounced dead at the scene.
“They observed that she’s got blood marks on her forehead and also on the back of her head… they also observe a small cord or fabric-y cord around her neck,” Brandt said.
Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a detainer for Dias, whom they noted had a “criminal history” even before Connolly’s tragic murder.
“Alcantara Dias illegally entered the United States in April 2019,” DHS said in a statement to Fox News. “In October 2024, an immigration judge granted Alcantara Dias’ motion to terminate his immigration hearings based on a technicality, bringing his immigration case to an end despite his criminal history and unlawful presence in the United States. He was then released into the country by the Biden administration.”
“The safest way to arrest and remove criminal illegal aliens from our streets is by lodging arrest detainers. 7 of the top 10 safest cities in the United States cooperate with ICE. We are urging the Framingham Police Department to participate in a controlled transfer of this criminal illegal alien to get him out of our communities once and for all,” the statement continued.

Connolly’s murder comes weeks following a Venezuelan illegal alien allegedly murdering an elderly Bay Area man only months after committing multiple burglaries.
On April 29, illegal alien Marcos Iriarte-Valdez, 36, broke into two homes in the California town of Orinda Downs, including the home of an 83-year-old woman.
The woman told local station KTVU that he stole a laptop from her garage and ate some food.
Later that same day, another woman who lived close by had her own scary encounter with Iriarte-Valdez.
“She was in the back of her house, I think, and saw the reflection in her bathroom,” the 83-year-old woman recalled. “She saw this man trying to get into her back door.”
According to the 83-year-old woman’s husband, the woman down the street “screamed” when she saw Iriarte-Valdez, spooking him and inspiring him to take off.
He was arrested sometime after and pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony first-degree burglary. He was subsequently let back onto the streets on pretrial release, according to Martinez News and Views.
Months later, on Aug. 4, he was taken into custody again for allegedly violating a home-detention monitoring rule. However, a day later he was released back onto the streets once again by this judge:

Another day later on Aug. 6, Iriarte-Valdez allegedly butchered 68-year-old retiree Todd Stewart on Stewart’s own front lawn in the nearby town of Martinez.
“Stewart was stabbed multiple times just steps from his front door,” according to KTVU. “Neighbors said he had been working on a project in his garage before the attack. He died at the scene.”
