‘You’ve lost the plot’: Charlamagne unloads on Enes Kanter Freedom over WNBA showdown

Leftist radio show host Charlamagne tha God ripped into former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom on Monday for daring to stand up for women’s sports.

Freedom was ejected from a WNBA game the night before while sitting in the crowd wearing a shirt promoting the realities of biological sex.

At some point in the game, he was heckled by a WNBA player, and for daring to stand up against her, he was subsequently booted:

The incident came only days out from Freedom declaring himself a woman in an attempt to get drafted into the WNBA himself, so as to expose the ridiculousness and insanity of their policies.

None of this seemed to appeal to Charlamagne, who, although not that political, tends to align closely with the radicalized left. So much so that he decided to label Freedom his “donkey of the day.”

“Well, donkey of the day for Monday, Aug. 24 goes to the former NBA player, Enes Kanter Freedom,” he began on Monday’s edition of his show. “Oh, what a sucker he is.”

Charlamagne proceeded to accuse Freedom of “trolling” the WNBA players on the court during Sunday’s game.

How in the world was he “trolling” the players? By wearing a shirt extoling the realities of biological sex.

“Natasha Cloud apparently saw the shirt, had some words for Enes, and Enes had some words back,” Charlamagne continued. “And during the exchange, Enes got up and briefly stepped onto the court before security intervened and eventually escorted him out of the building.”

Charlamagne then briefly stated that Freedom wasn’t receiving the donkey of the day designation for his political views.

“Understand something: I’m not giving Enes Kanter Freedom donkey of the day because he believes biological males shouldn’t compete against biological females in women’s sports. I agree with him on that.”

That was good to know. That said, what then was the issue?

“I’m giving Enes donkey today because this guy has somehow decided that the best way to protect women’s basketball is to disrupt women’s basketball,” he said. “You, Enes, have become what you claim to hate because I haven’t seen anyone threaten women’s basketball more than you.”

“Do you think those women felt safe with your big ass out there trolling them, and then had the nerve to stand up and act like he was about to step to one of them? Make that make sense to me,” he added.

It’s still unclear how Freedom was “trolling” anybody by just sitting quietly in the stands and then later standing up for himself against a bully.

Charlamagne then moved on to attacking Freedom for declaring himself a woman because there are currently no transgender players in the WNBA.

“This man declared himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft, saying he identifies as a woman as part of his protest against the league’s transgender eligibility rules,” the radio host said. “Meanwhile, in the WNBA, there are currently no immediate eligibility matters affecting their league.”

“Basically, ain’t no transgender women trying to take your job in the WNBA right now. That is not happening. So people like Enes are protesting a hypothetical. There are no biological males trying to play in the WNBA except for you. So therefore, Enes, you are actually the problem,” he added.

Wrong. Freedom’s fight isn’t just about the WNBA but rather about all women’s sports, especially high school and college sports.

Charlamagne wasn’t done trash-talking Freedom.

“There’s a difference between raising awareness about something you believe could become a problem and manufacturing a spectacle around a hypothetical problem because the spectacle gets you attention, OK?” he concluded. “All you’re doing is performance art, and I need you to get off the stage because your show sucks.”

The irony was that many feel the same about Charlamagne’s own show …
