A pair of tweets posted over the weekend by Twitter owner Elon Musk suggests one of two things, either someone has pulled off the hack of the century or the hostilities between Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have intensified greatly.
It wasn’t too long ago that we saw some good-natured banter about a possible cage match between the Big Tech titans but that was before Meta launched Threads, a new Instagram-based Twitter competitor being described as a “copycat” app. Twitter is threatening to sue, accusing the platform of “systematic, willful and unlawful misappropriation” of its trade secrets. Twitter attorney Alex Spiro said Meta hired dozens of former Twitter employees who “had and continue to have access to Twitter’s trade secrets and other highly confidential information.”
Zuckerberg seemed to rub it in by tweeting a Spider-Man meme upon launching Threads, breaking his decade-long silence on the social media platform — Musk fired back with a salvo of his own when he tweeted about indulging “ in the false happiness of hide-the-pain Instagram.”
Over the weekend, Zuckerberg responded with a laughing emoji to the burger chain Wendy’s suggesting on Threads that he should go into space to “really make Musk mad.” A screenshot of the exchange was posted on Twitter by the ‘datahazard’ account, which said that while Musk protects free speech, Zuckerberg “protects brand speech” — you’d be hard-pressed to find another Big Tech outfit that censors content more than Meta.
Musk, who is the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX, replied to the tweet with this zinger: “Zuck is a cuck.”

But the acrimony gets even deeper, as Musk proposed “a literal dick measuring contest,” which prompted ‘datahazard’ to suggest that fellow billionaires Bill Gates and George Soros also be included
I propose including @BillGates and @georgesoros

As for whether Musk may have been hacked, it doesn’t appear likely as seen in the response below referencing an Elon Musk parody account that some playfully suggest he is behind:

Suffice it to say, Musk lit up Twitter. Here’s a small sampling of some of the responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform:

No we’re not going to whatever that Zuck fake @Twitter is — Facebook has throttled us for years and still does, we have over 300k followers and they show our posts to barely 300 people https://t.co/k84ayNlicl
