‘A nasty, mean old man’: Twitter snaps back when Biden mocks reporter’s ‘really insightful question’ on Ukraine

A cantankerous President Biden snapped at a reporter Wednesday during the annual NATO summit in Lithuania’s capital, this coming on the heels of a report that Biden often displays an ugly temper behind closed doors that’s contrary to the ice-cream-eating “kindly uncle” public image his handlers have cultivated.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a rock star welcome at the summit and he said at one point that he wanted an invite to NATO for the “signal” it would send the Kremlin. This prompted a question from the media during a public meeting with Biden.

“How soon after the war would you like to join NATO?” a reporter asked.

But before Zelenskyy could respond, the old cuss Biden jumped in to ridicule the reporter for the question, “An hour and 20 minutes –you guys ask really insightful questions.”

Another remark from Biden directed at Zelenskyy stood out, given the outcome of many of the U.S. government’s interventionist policies over the years.

“The bad news for you is we’re not going anywhere. You’re stuck with us,” Biden told the Ukrainian president in the clip below — and while everyone laughed, history will tell how humorous the remark truly is.

Another noteworthy moment occurred during a joint press conference when the 80-year-old U.S. president referred to Zelenskyy as “Vladimir,” as in Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
