‘Abandon Biden’ relaunches, shifts focus to Kamala

Swapping out “Genocide Joe” for Kamala Harris may not be the panacea that Democrats were hoping for in terms of placating angry Muslim voters.

Before he was overthrown by a Nancy Pelosi-led palace coup, President Joe Biden had so infuriated the pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic elements of his base over Israel’s war in Gaza, that the party was facing the possibility of losing heavily Muslim Michigan, a state that could swing the election to Trump.

After a brief honeymoon period, the Muslim mutiny is back on again, and the group that had previously launched a multi-state campaign to “Abandon Biden” has rebranded and is now upping the pressure on the Democrat nominee.

Now called “Abandon Harris,” the group issued a statement announcing that it will be “ramping up efforts in key swing states to rally Muslim-Americans and their allies against the Harris-Walz ticket.”

“We are not interested in hollow rhetoric, empty platitudes, or shallow calls for a ceasefire while the Biden-Harris administration continues to send weapons to Israel, enabling the indiscriminate slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza and fueling a wider regional conflict. Words without meaningful action are meaningless, and the continued complicity in these atrocities will not be tolerated,” the statement read.

After sparking optimism with her disrespectful treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after she was installed as Biden’s replacement, Harris has seen her star dimming among Muslims who have been demanding a ceasefire since the day when Israel began its military operation to eliminate the terrorist threat after Hamas massacred over 1,200 Jews in civilian areas on October 7, 2023, in a barbaric attack that shocked the civilized world.

There were already rumblings that Michigan Muslims weren’t buying the bait and switch. Voters on a recent MSNBC panel were not nearly as impressed with Harris as the media was.

“In the Arab and Muslim community, we’ve been voting for Democrats a long time,” one Muslim voter told the left-wing propaganda network’s Yasmin Vossoughian. “We’ve hosted Democrats in our homes, we’ve donated to them, we’ve fundraised for them, and we’ve knocked on doors for them, but at this point, our money is going to our families overseas who are dying every single day who need aid because of the direct results of this administration which she’s part of.”

“You’re bombing our families with our money and just one good speech is going to win us over again? I don’t think so,” said a woman wearing a head scarf and a keffiyeh, referring to Harris’ DNC speech.

“They’re losing voters who are going to put Trump in the office, that’s on them. That’s not on us,” she added. “They are distancing their voters from them. They are not listening to their constituents. It’s on them. It’s not on us.”

More recently, there were remarks made by the veep during Thursday’s CNN interview flop, that angered Wolverine State Muslims with one of them being “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), a virulent anti-Semite and de facto agent of Hamas.

“You’re bombing our families with our money and just one good speech is going to win us over again? I don’t think so,” said a woman wearing both a head scarf and a keffiyeh.

“They’re losing voters who are going to put Trump in the office, that’s on them. That’s not on us,” she added. “They are distancing their voters from them. They are not listening to their constituents. It’s on them. It’s not on us.”

Tlaib was one of the leaders of the anti-Biden protest movement that turned out over 100,000 “uncommitted” votes in the Michigan Democrat primary, it’s uncertain whether she’s going to also whip votes against Harris.

“Spare us the wordy justifications for why everyone should blindly rally behind Kamala Harris. You’re not trying to convince us—you’re trying to convince yourselves. Deep down, you know your once non-negotiable principles have become negotiable, and you’re struggling to accept it,” Abandon Harris said in a Sunday post to X.

“Abandon Biden, now Abandon Harris, will not cede a single inch. We remain firm and steadfast in our convictions and our mission to ensure that the party currently supporting, funding, and enabling the Israeli genocide in Gaza is defeated at the polls,” the group said, leaving open the possibility that it could endorse a third party candidate.
