U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, had little sympathy for fellow Republican U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after Twitter permanently suspended her personal account on Sunday for allegedly violating the social media  network’s widely criticized “COVID-19 misinformation policy.”

The retired Navy SEAL continued his campaign of calling out conservative members of the House Freedom Caucus who are more about bluster than action, having previously called a bunch of “grifters” and “performance artists.” Greene is a member of the caucus and Crenshaw took exception with the Georgia lawmaker not pursuing “anti-censorship legislation,” opting instead to be a “victim” pushing “petty and childish attacks” for fundraising purposes.

In an Instagram story, Crenshaw wrote: “And @realmarjoriegreene, instead of playing the victim about censorship maybe use your position as a LEGISLATOR to help pass LEGISLATION against censorship.”

“Luckily I’ve already done all the hard work for you and drafted a bill that would change Section 230 to prohibit political censorship. Want to co-sponsor before I introduce it? Or prefer to keep up with petty and childish attacks? Your call,” he said.

“That Marjorie scoffed at the notion of supporting anti-censorship legislation is indicative of her true intent: to remain a victim,” Crenshaw added. “She doesn’t want solutions and she doesn’t care if you get censored. She just wants to be a victim so she can keep asking you for campaign donations. It’s a scam.”

In a separate Instagram post, the congressman said: “I’ve drafted a bill that prohibits political censorship on social media by making changes to section 230. Some of us in Congress actually put in the hard work to fix social media political censorship, doing the in-depth policy and legal research required to craft good legislation. Others just hurl petty insults to get your attention, and then tell you they “fight” for you. Starting to notice the difference?”

Greene responded to being suspended by Twitter in a post shared on GETTR, which appears to have spurred Crenshaw’s remarks.

“When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth,” she wrote. “That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

She pushed back against Crenshaw in a further indication of the bad blood between the two, saying on Instagram Crenshaw “spends more time attacking America First Republicans because he (not so secretly) hates Trump, is talking about a bill to ‘hold Big Tech accountable!’ but is the same type of toothless bill the Paul Ryan types try to sell to make it look like they’re doing something.”

Saying GOP bills won’t pass under Pelosi, Green then criticized Crenshaw’s voting record on legislation – Crenshaw fired back:

Things really went off the rail when Greene claimed Crenshaw was “posting creepy stalking pictures of me and harassing me to co-sponsor his Big Tech bill that he says stops censorship, but his bill actually gives more protection to online Porn companies.”

She even questioned whether her Twitter suspension was somehow connected to her disagreeing with Crenshaw on using FEMA for mass Covid testing, asking: “Did I offend Dan’s globalist friends at the World Economic Forum?”

The GOP lawmakers sparred over Crenshaw saying during an appearance last week on Fox News that the Biden administration should be “using their FEMA resources to bolster a lot of these testing sites, open up new testing sites,” in regard to the current COVID-19 surge.

“No FEMA should not set up testing sites to check for Omicron sneezes, coughs, and runny noses,” Greene said on Instagram Sunday, adding, “He needs to stop calling himself conservative, he’s hurting our brand.”

Crenshaw countered in another Instagram story, “Hey, Marjorie, if suggesting we should follow Trump policy instead of Biden mandates makes you mad, then you might be a Democrat — or just an idiot.”
