British Actor Sir Ian McKellan revealed what he would do to make himself “look more furious” while filming “Avengers: Doomsday.”
Speaking about his role as Magneto in the film, McKellan noted that the directors Anthony and Joe Russo “got me at one point to destroy New Jersey.” He stood up from his seat to reenact the famous moment, recalling that the directors “told me to look more furious: make it look as if you hate what you’re destroying. So I stood there, and I shouted: ‘Mar-a-Lago!’”

The actor made a similar admission in February while on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
“So I’m standing up, pretending to [destroy New Jersey], and the wind is blowing in my hair, and I’m putting on a fierce look, and I’m trying to be magnetic. And the director, over the loudspeaker, says, ‘Ian, look more furious,’” he explained to the host at the time, claiming that he had been told to shout “the worst thing you could possibly think of” before he called out the name of President Donald Trump’s Florida resort.
“Will I be allowed back in the country?” he wondered.
“Will you be allowed back in the country? No guarantees. I don’t think I’m the right person to ask for that,” Colbert chuckled.

I understand the political aspect of this is the main point…but why does Magneto HATE New Jersey so much?

So the character who was a victim of the Nazis wants to destroy the home of a man with a Jewish son in law.

Proof that even a renowned thespian can have the IQ of a fencepost.

This is really pathetic and weird, lol. I didn’t even vote for Trump this last time around, but Ian is like 90 years old and this is the so-called ‘wisdom’ he wants to leave behind? It feels so forced and out of place lol.
